The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (PEB) will be inviting online applications for the Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (MPTET) 2021. As per the proposal received from the Department of Tribal Affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the upcoming MPTET will also be conducted for the vacant posts of primary teacher in the same department. The previous application process had already concluded for the examination that will be held in March 2022. As of now, new applications will be invited for MPTET 2021 and candidates can start registering from December 14, 2021.

Candidates interested in applying can do so via the official website – peb.mponline.gov.in. The last date for filling up the MPTET application form 2021 is December 28, 2021. However, the modifications in the online application form can be done till January 02, 2022. It must be noted that candidates who have already applied for MPTET during January-February 2022 do not need to fill the application form once again. The previous and newly-filled application forms will be valid.
Merely obtaining qualifying marks in the Primary Teacher Eligibility Test does not mean that candidates will be directly recruited to a particular post. This is because there are other eligibility conditions that are required for the appointment to the post of primary teachers and hence the MPTET 2021 examination will only fulfill one condition. Detailed information regarding the examination, date, and rule book will be available on the official website of PEB – peb.mp.gov.in on December 02, 2021.
The MPTET examination is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates in terms of primary, middle, and high school teaching ability. These candidates upon meeting the eligibility requirements will be recruited across the schools in the state. There are three divisions in MPTET 2021. Firstly, the primary school TET is for candidates who desire to teach classes 1 to 5. Secondly, the middle school TET is for classes 6 to 8 while the high school TET is for classes 9 to 12.
The total duration of time for MPTET 2021 is 150 minutes. The topics asked in the exam are Language I, Language II, Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, and Environmental Science. There will be two languages that the candidates have to choose from English, Hindi, Urdu, and Sanskrit. These five subjects carry 30 marks each. Every right answer will get +1 marks to the total score but however, there isn’t any provision of negative marking in MPTET 2021.
