Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the notification for State Service Examination 2019, which is commonly referred to as MPPSC 2020. The exam is equivalent to civil services exam at the state level, and graduates can apply for it.
Online application form will be available from November 20, 2019, and will close on December 9, 2019. Candidates can apply online from mponline.gov.in, mppsc.nic.in, mppsc.com. Simultaneously with submission of forms, application form correction window will open on November 23, 2019, and close on December 11, 2019.
MPPSC will conduct a combined preliminary exam for state service exam and state forest service exam on January 12, 2020. The exam will be in two sessions in all major districts of the state. Exam city details will be sent to the candidates 10 days before exam via sms and email. And form January 8 to 11, 2020, the admit cards for the exam will be available for download at mponline.gov.in, mppsc.nic.in, mpsscdemo.in, mppsc.com.
Candidates can apply online and should select exam name carefully between the two. A separate notification has been published for MPPSC state forest services exam 2020, and candidates should check their eligibility from it before applying for posts against it.
The cut off date for age calculations is January 1, 2020. Candidates should be between 21 to 40 years old as on the cut off date. Further, male candidates should be at least 168 cms tall, and their chest dimension should be 84 cm unexpanded, 89 cm expanded. Female candidates should be at least 155 cm tall.
A total of 330 vacancies have been advertised for the state services examination.
Selection process shall comprise of three stages namely prelims, mains, and interviews. Preliminary exam will be a pen and paper based test to be answered in omr sheet, wherein the paper will contain all multiple choice questions. Mains exam will be a descriptive exam. Interviews will be face to face.
The preliminary exam will be held in 52 cities, list of which is given in page 4 of the MPPSC 2020 notification.
MPPSC will accept objections against the answer keys of prelims exam at mppsc.nic.in, and mppsc.com for seven days from publishing. For each objection, Rs 100 will be charged.
How to apply for MPPSC 2020?
Candidates need to visit any of the websites mponline.gov.in, mppsc.com, mppsc.nic.in on the start date of application form submission. Then proceed to fill the online application form, and follow the instructions that appear on screen. One has to enter all details pertaining to self in terms of personal data, educational qualification, communication details. Also, colored passport size photograph has to be uploaded. The last step is payment of fee.
The application fee for MP domicile candidates who are SC, ST, OBC, PH is Rs 750 to apply for any one service, and Rs 1000 to apply for both state service exam and forest service exam. For all others, it is Rs 1500 for any one service, and Rs 2000 for both.
