More Than 1.15 Lakh Apply For UPTET 2018 In 4 Days

Not even 04 days have gone and Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has received a massive response to the notification of this year Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. UPBEB released the application form of UPTET 2018 on September 18, 2018. And more than 1.15 lakh candidates responded back by submitting their applications. It seems aspirants were desperately waiting for this recruitment for quite a long time.

The Basic Education Board of Uttar Pradesh is expecting more than 5 lakh applications by the candidates this time. However, the trend of such massive application is followed by candidates last year as well.

In the year 2017, 9.76 lakh applications were submitted. In total applications, more than 3.49 were submitted for the Primary Teacher and 6.27 lakh applications for Upper Primary Level. Thus for the Board, this is not the first time when such a huge registration occurred.

The Board must have done all the preparations to deal with the lakh of aspirants. Many times the website of Board had crashed, and being inaccessible last year during the events last year. As a large number of candidates were rushing to the site at the same time in big events like for downloading the call letter etc. This year the same incidents could repeat if the Board will not have the proper arrangement.

Reason for such a huge response in the initial days.

Voter Id card snatched all the credits for a lot number of applications, as while filling the form candidates can opt for voter id card instead of Aadhaar Card. Even Aadhaar Card is not present on the drop-down menu in the application form. The candidates can select any one of Voter Id Card, Driving License, Pan Card and Passport for the identity verification. The Board has decided October 05, 2018 as the deadline for submitting the application form.

UPTET exam will hold on November 04, 2018 on 75 districts in the state

What Has been changed in the process?

The Board has not introduced the application correction window this year. The candidates are not allowed to alter the details in the application form. Last time the correction window was opened for 04 days. But this time the application form has to be submitted carefully at once.

The candiadtes have to submit the application form through Challan for this they have to first fill the application form then get the registration number, Via Registration number the challan will be generated. Then candidates have to submit the application fee in the bank.

For completing the process the unreserved category candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- while candidates beloning to SC/ST category have to deposit only Rs. 300/-. In this context, the PWD candidates are provided an exemption in application fee.

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is an examination which allows the aspirants to teach in Government schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Those who qualify the exam gets an eligibility certificate as Teacher in the State. The aspirants who have completed the Bachelor’s Degree can apply for the Primary Level (For Teaching Class 1 to 5). Whereas the candidates who have qualified graduation /post graduation and B.Ed are eligible to apply for Upper Primary Level (For Teaching Class 6 to 8).
