Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department, Andhra Pradesh is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to 1113 vacancies of Mid Level Health Provider (MLHP). The post will be filled on a contractual basis for a period of 1 year in the health and wellness centres. Eligible candidates can apply online till November 29, 2019.
The department has set some eligibility criteria pertaining to the educational qualifications and age limit for interested candidates. The Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department requires that to be eligible, candidates should be a BSc. Nursing passed. Moreover, a person should be less than 35 years when applying. However, the age limit for the SCs and STs is 40 years.
Adhering to the eligibility criteria, applications can be submitted online on mlhp.aptonline.in. Against availing of the application form, the department charges a minimal amount of Rs. 300 from the candidates. The same is exempted for the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and backward class candidates.
Selection procedure decided by the department for selecting the eligible candidates is online entrance test. The scheduled date of the test as mentioned in the advertisement is December 10, 2019 from 2:30 PM till 5:30 PM. The admit card for the exam will get released by December 5, 2019.
200 objective type of questions will be there based upon the syllabus of BSc. nursing. Candidates will be given a total time of 3 hours to complete the paper. For being selected for the programme, SC/STs candidates have to score 40% marks, physically handicapped must attain 45% marks and the candidates of the other category have to obtain 50% marks.
The selected candidates will undergo a Bridge Programme certificate in community health. The programme will be conducted by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for a duration of six months. The course will commence from January 1, 2020. It is must be noted that before starting with the programme the candidates have to sign a bond for bridge course and counselling from December 23, 2019.
As per the notification, after the completion of the programme, the candidates will be eligible for deployment as a mid-level health provider on a contractual basis. However, candidates reserve no right to claim for a permanent job.
The candidates after the training period will be provided with a remuneration of Rs. 25,000 per month. As per the guidelines laid down for the recruitment no stipend will be provided to the candidates under the training period.
However, the department will provide full support for the IGNOU fee including the study materials and counselling fee. Along with this, they will also take care of the boarding, accommodation, transport expenses for field visit and others of the selected candidates.
