MICAT 2019 and IIFT 2019 Exam Date Clashes; Both the Papers to be held on 02 December

The exam schedule for MICAT and IIFT 2019 has been released on the official websites. The interesting thing to note is that the date of the MICAT-I exam is clashing with IIFT 2019. The IIFT had declared the schedule on August 06, 2018, whereas MICA released the exam timeline on August 22, 2018. The date of the exam has been scheduled to take place on December 02, 2018 for both the exams.

Until Now, there isn’t any confirmation by the authorities of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. It is still dicey if the exam dates will be changed or not. If the exam date does not change, then the audience of the exam have to compromise on one paper.

If the exam dates do not change, then the candidates have the option to apply for MICAT-II 2019. The registration for it will start from January 03, 2019. So, candidates must not worry and can still appear for IIFT and MICAT.

In case the exam dates changed, then it is good news for candidates, they can apply for the MICAT-1 2019 without any worry. As candidates, aspiring for MICA tends to take the exam in both sessions. This will help them to improve their scores in case the first session does not end well. In the final preparation for admission, MICAT scores have 30% weightage.

The first step for the admission is IIFT 2019 exam. It is a pen and paper-based test with 6 sections. They comprise of General Awareness, English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Ability. Candidates have to clear the cut off of all the sections in order to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

The MICATpaper is an exam of 165 duration with 140-150 questions in total. In the test, there are subjective and objective type questions both. In the first type, there is Descriptive and Psychometric Test. Whereas Analytical & Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Divergent Thinking have multiple choice questions.
