Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) Kerala had to postpone some of its examinations due to the university union elections. New exam dates for the postponed exams will be announced soon. The varsity will publish the same on its official website mgu.ac.in.

A number of exams, both for UG and PG, were falling on the dates where exams are now postponed. Dates for all, will be revealed together.
The university exams have undergone different date changes in the past two months owing to different reasons. First it was heavy rains, for which the state government had issued alert in the region, and now it is the student elections.
Postponement of MGU exams have happened not just once, but more than that in the past. News records show that the same situation arose in August of 2017, as well as November 2015. Long ago, in December 2001 also exams had to be postponed due to union elections.
The press release published in this regard does not clarify whether new hall tickets will be issued for new exam dates or not. Candidates are thus advised to coordinate with their colleges or university officials in this regard.
Last night, there was some internet chatter over new exam dates. Either students heard about a new exam time table from the student grapevine, or social media. However on the official website, new exam dates have not been posted yet.
Either MGU will publish course wise new time tables. Or a consolidated time table with new dates of only those exams will be published that had to be postponed, of November 21 and 28, 2019. A similar consolidated time table was published for those exams that had been due to heavy rains; that time table included dates of specific subjects of 5th sem CBCS 2017 admission regular undergraduate exam Oct 2019, 5th sem CBCSS (2013 to 2016 admissions reappearance), 5th sem CBCSS B.Sc cyber forensic (2017 admission regular / 2013 to 2016 admissions reapparance undergraduate exam, 2nd Sem M.Sc applied electronics, 1st Sem MA / M.Sc . M.Com degree ((2018 admission regular, 2017 admission supplementary and prior to 2017 admission supplementary / mercy chance) 2004 to 2013 admissions – adalath – special mercy chance) examinations Oct 2019, 3rd sem 5 year BBA LLB hons degree exam, 3rd sem MAB 2018 admission regular / 2017 admission supplementary batch.
It may also be noted that in few of the revised time tables, exam dates were such which have again been postponed.
MGU Kottayam Kerala is a public university, established in 1983. Earlier it was known by the name of Gandhiji university. Today, the varsity has over 300 affiliated colleges in five central districts of the state. MGU Kerala has been placed in 49th rank among all universities in India, by the National Institute of Ranking Framework NIRF in its 2019 rankings.
