Maharashtra State is facing the second wave of Coronavirus after a remarkable drop in the number of cases. In the view of COVID-19, Maharashtra Government has decided to keep the schools closed. However, students who will be appearing for the Boards examination this year are worried about their Boards Exam date. Several students and parents are asking the Indian Government to cancel the CBSE Boards exam to conduct it online. They are asking will the board exam in Maharashtra state be cancelled or not.

Recently, the exam dates for CBSE Boards Exam 2021 were announced. The Class 10th Board Exams will commence from April 29, 2021, to May 21, 2021. Whereas the 12th class Boards Exam will take place from April 23, 2021, to May 20, 2021. Maharashtra Government has decided to conduct the Board examination via offline mode at different test centres. Varsha Gaikwad, Education Minister of Maharashtra state has repeatedly said that it is impossible to conduct the theory-based Board examination for HSC and SSC via online mode.

Students on the other hand have an opposite view. Those who are appearing for the boards exam in Maharashtra state wish to appear for the exam via offline mode. Some students have come forward and raised their concern that the classes were conducted offline the entire year and it is an injustice to them to conduct offline exams. Moreover, Maharashtra Government has released certain guidelines with the hashtag #BreakTheChain to stop the spread of COVID-19 again in the state. The guidelines, for instance, does not allow more than 05 individuals to accumulate at a place from 07:00 AM to 08:00 PM. People are questioning the guidelines acknowledging the conduct of exams that may infect the young generation.

As per the reports, the Education Minister of Maharashtra will hold a meeting on April 06, 2021. The concern to whether conduct the Boards Exam 2021 in Maharashtra will be addressed. Students idea to conduct the boards exam offline will also be considered. Once the meeting is over, the government will announce the decision to the students and their parents.

Lately, Varsha Gaikwad has announced that the students of class 1 to 8 (Maharashtra State) will be promoted to the next class. They are not supposed to appear for the final examination and will be promoted directly to the next class for the upcoming session. The decision on the final examination of Class 09 and Class 11 will be declared real soon.
