Maharashtra CET 2018 Application Form Released; 25th March Last Date To Apply

DTE, Maharashtra, has announced the details for MHT CET 2018. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is an online examination conducted for admission to B.E/ B.Tech and B.Pharm/ Pharm.D courses. Candidates who pass the exam get admission in Government, Government Aided, University Departments, University Managed and Unaided Institutes in the state of Maharashtra. The upcoming exam is due to be held on May 10, 2018.

Candidates planning to appear for MHT CET 2018 can apply for the exam from dtemaharashtra.gov.in. The application form is only available online, from January 18 to March 25, 2018. In order to apply, the candidates will have to submit the personal, educational, communication, and other details in the form. Along with it, a scanned image of candidate’s photograph and father’s, mother’s and candidate’s signature is also to be uploaded in the form. The payment of application fee is a mandatory step for registration.

The amount of application fee is Rs. 800 and reserved category candidates need to pay Rs. 600.

There will be late registrations as well

State Common Entrance Test Cell has provided special opportunity to candidates to apply for MHT CET 2018 even after the lapse of the last date. However, in this case, the applicants will be required to submit late fee of Rs. 500. Application with late fee will be accepted only till March 26 to 31, 2018.

Successfully registered candidates will be issued admit card from April 24 to May 10, 2018. The issuance of hall ticket will also be done online and no hard copy of it will be sent to candidates by post or any other medium. Details that will be required for getting access to admit card are application number that is generated at the time of application form filling and password.

MHT CET will consist of Paper I (for Mathematics), Paper II (for Physics and Chemistry), and Paper III (for Biology). The Paper I will be conducted from 10.00 a.m to 11:30 am, Paper II will begin at 12.30 p.m and will conclude at 02.00 p.m, whereas, the candidates will take Paper III from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, on the due date.

All the papers will be held in online mode. The candidates will have to attempt 250 question of 300 marks in the exam. The question will be of multiple choice type and the level of it will be that of class 11 and 12. Result in June

The result of MHT CET 2018 will be announced on or before June 03, 2018, as stated in official notice issued by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, Mumbai. Candidates will be able to check their results on official site of DTE, Maharashtra. Applicants who appear for the exam can check their responses against the answer key issued by authorities.

After results of the exam, merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by candidates in MHT CET 2018. Selected candidates will be called for CAP to fill seats in various participating colleges and institutes of Maharashtra state. The final seat allocation will be done on the basis of the merit in the CET and preference for the course and the college submitted by the candidate.
