MAH MCA CET 2020

Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell has published the exam date notification for MAH MCA CET 2020, along with that of five other exams. As per the notice, MCA CET 2020 will be held on March 28, 2020 in online mode. The exam will be organized for admissions to Master in Computer Application course.

The exam date of this time is quite similar to that of last time. Last year, MAH MCA CET was held on March 23.

Since the exam date is near around that of last time, candidates may expect registrations to be open in the same duration as last time, admit card to be released like previous year, and declaration of results to be like last time.

Last year, MCA CET online application form was released on January 15, and was available until February 22. After that hall ticket was issued on March 8, over two weeks prior to exam. Result was announced on April 15, around three weeks after the exam.

Therefore this time it is expected that application form for the exam will be issued by mid of January. Then admit card will be made available in the last week of February. After that exam will be held in the second or third week of March. Thereafter exam will be held on the decided dates. Result is anticipated to be out by April end.

MAH MCA CET is the common entrance test for first year and direct second year (separate division and lateral entry) of 3 years full time post graduate degree course in Master of Computer Applications. All all government/ government aided institutes offering MCA course, all university departments offering MCA course, university managed institutes offering MCA course, all un-aided MCA institutes covered as per the act.

Last year the application fee was Rs 1000 for general category candidates from Maharashtra state, outside Maharashtra state (oms), JnK migrant candidates. And it was Rs 800 for reserved category candidates of backward class categories including SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC and persons with disability
candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only.

MCA aspirants need to go to mahacet.org and go through the detailed notification, and then apply online, when information bulletin and application forms are available. Candidates will be able to check updates on the exam at mahacet.org only from time time.

The exam is a 90 minutes test with multiple choice questions. Correct answers are of 2 marks, and negative marking 0.5 applies to incorrect answers. No marks are awarded or deducted for unattempted questions; random guessing is discouraged by the cell.

CET cell says “instances for providing incorrect information and/or process violation by a candidate detected at any stage of the admission process will lead of disqualification of the candidate from the entire admission process.”
