Magadh University, Bodh Gaya had officially announced on Sunday that the part 3 exams scheduled to be held from September 30 were being cancelled due to heavy rains and waterlogging. Today, a notification has been shared on social media as per which, the new exam dates for BA, B.Sc, B.Com cancelled exams are from October 12.
The Magadh University part 3 exam routine 2019 notification for cancelled exams, which has gone viral on social media says that the exam which was supposed to be held on September 30 will be held on October 12, then October 1 exam will be on October 14, the October 3 exam will be on October 15, and October 4 paper shall be held on October 16.
It may be noted that this notification is not yet available on the notice board section of official website magadhuniversity.ac.in. However last month also similar incidents happened, where students found part 3 exam dates first on notice board and shared on social media, and then the notice came on the official website.
Which gives rise to the question – Is the Magadh University part 3 exam routine 2019 notification for cancelled exams real or fake?
There are two concerns about the new exam dates notification. First is that the dates of practical exams are not mentioned in it. And second is that the date of notification says September 3. If the notification is true, then probably dates of practical exams will be announced later (initially the practical exams were supposed to be held from October 10 to October 14), and the date could be a typographical error.
Also, another reason why it is likely to be real is that a leading daily of the state has also published the same new exam routine.
The report further states that the examination controller has confirmed the new exam routine. Also that exams will be held in shifts as provided in the previous time table. Magadh University has established exam centers for the BA, B.Sc, B.Com part 3 exams at 58 centers in Gaya, Patna, Jahanabad, Aurangabad, Arwal, and Nalanda.
Last month, there was quite some confusion over the exam routine. There were different versions of the time table being shared online. Until the revised routine was officially uploaded on magadhuniversity.ac.in, students were confused over which date to believe. Then the second chaos happened at the time of admit card release. Students were able to download their hall tickets only three days before the exam.
Established in the year 1962, Magadh University in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, has over 85 affiliated colleges. Last year the university bifurcated and now the colleges in Patna and Nalanda come under Patliputra University.
