Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (Bihar), has now declared the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) second year exam 2017-2019 result. The exams were held in July.
Students of the state university who appeared in the exam can now go to magadhuniversity.ac.in to check their results. On the main page, one has to click online result link, which opens a login page. Here, students can select “B.Ed-II” from the course name drop down, and the roll number field, enter their roll number.
There has not been any separate announcement by the university on declaration of Magadh University B.Ed Result 2017-2019 for second year students. However since yesterday, some students have posted on social media that they are able to check their results, and shared their marks statement on social media, joyful that results are out.

However some students are not able to check their results yet. When they are trying to login, they can see a message, result pending, try after 48 hours. It is not clear why this is happening. A few students have said that this error is coming when they mistakenly select B.Ed-I instead of B.Ed-II in the dropdown.

Magadh University B.Ed second year Result 2017-2019 shows displays obtained by the student. The contents of the marks statement are such that it the top section contains name, father’s name, college name and code, roll number, registration number, exam name. Then below it, is the table containing paper code, subject name, full marks, passing marks, marks obtained, and remarks.
Students with 86% and more marks get O grade. 76% to 85% marks fetches A+. Then 66% to 75% gets A. With 56% to 65%, you get B. 45% to 55% gets C. And D grade is given to students with less than 45%. ‘O’ means outstanding, ‘A+’ is excellent, ‘A’ grade is very good. ‘B’ grade means good, ‘C’ is average. ‘D’ grade is fail.
Few of the subjects in B.Ed second year 2017-2019 exams were pedagogy of a school subject, knowledge and curriculum, assessment for learning, creating an inclusive school, understanding the self. One of the optional courses was health and physical education.
The massing marks are 45%. Thus, in the subjects where maximum marks are 100, students should get 45. And where the marks are 50, he or she should get 23.
The revised examination programme of B.Ed first year 2018-20 and B.Ed first year 2017-19 and 2016-18 (fail student) was published just one week before the exam. ‘Language across the curriculum’ was held on July 29. ‘Understanding disciplines and subjects’ was on July 30. Then ‘gender, school and society’ paper was on July 31. After that ‘pedagogy of a school subject part I’ was held on August 1. ‘Childhood and growing up’ exam was on August 2. ‘Contemporary India and education’ exam was on August 3. Then ‘learning and teaching’ exam was on August 5.
On the same day, the revised examination programme of B.Ed second 2017-19 and B.Ed second year 2015-17, 2016-18 (fail student) was published. As per it, ‘course and inclusive school’ paper was on July 29. Then ‘optional course’ paper was on July 30 .’Pedagogy of a school subject part 2’ was on August 2. Thereafter ‘knowledge and curriculum’ paper was on August 3. And finally, ‘assessment for learning’ was on August 5.
In four days time, the Magadh University part 3 exams are going to start. Admit card for the same is expected to be released today or tomorrow.
