Law School Admission Council (LSAC) designed Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is especially for the admission of the deserving candidates in Law Schools of India. The examination is conducted on yearly basis at the national level. The candidates planning to appear for the exam must gear up. The exam date for LSAT India 2018 has been announced. It will be held on May 20, 2018.
The exam date for the exam was announced online, on the official website pearsonvueindia.com. The registration for the exam will begin from October 04, 2017. The candidates will not be able to apply offline for the examination. While registering for the exam, the candidates will have to make sure that they are entering all authentic details. Incorrect details may hamper the candidature.
The last date to apply for the Law exam is May 04, 2018. During registration, the candidates will get LSAT India Registration Number. When the candidates will submit the application form for the participating institutes they will be required to enter the Registration Number.
The conducting body will issue the admit card of the candidates on May 05, 2018. The last date to download the admit card will be May 19, 2018. Registered candidates will have to carry hall ticket on the exam day. If the candidate fails to produce the admit card, they will not be allowed to take the exam.
Along with the admit card, the candidates will also have to carry one photo id card. The valid ID cards can be Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, etc. The ID card is to be carried in the original form. It should also be noted that Photocopies of the ID cards, Notarised copies, and Learner’s Driving License will not be termed valid.
The duration of LSAT India will be 2 hours and 20 minutes. Within this duration, the candidates will have to attempt 4 sections for Analytical Reasoning, 1st Logical Reasoning, 2nd Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension. The candidates will get exactly 35 minutes to solve each section. The sections will have approximately 24 questions of multiple choice type. For some questions, there will be 4 answer options, whereas for some there will be 5 answer options. The exam will be held only in pen and paper mode and answers are to be marked on a scannable answer sheet.
The LSAT India 2018 will be held in Chandigarh, Delhi (NRC), Jaipur, Lucknow, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Nagpur, Mumbai, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Raipur, Kolkata, and Bhubaneswar.
More than 85 Law Schools participate in the examination and offer seats to the LSAT India qualifying candidates. OP Jindal Global University and NA Global Law School will fill 100% seats on the basis of LSAT. Whereas, AISECT University and Indore Institute of Law will fill 90% seat via the exam. GD Goenka University School of Law will fill 80% seats on the basis of the exam score. Apart from these, Law Schools like NMIMS, Alliance, UPES, ICFAI, RGSIPL, VIT, IIMT, etc will also consider the score of the exam.
