And now, on the careers page, “Recruitment of Assistants – 2019” link is active. This confirms that recruitment to the post of assistants will actually take place in LIC.
The link is leading to a new web page licindia.in/Bottom-Links/Careers/Recruitment-of-Assistants-2019 where pdf files of notification will be published in some time. Right now it contains a table with two rows, one for region and one that says department. Below the table, there are few lines of test that read “Select LIC Zone based upon the State/ UT under which one wish to apply. States/ UTs are placed under eight Zones of LIC. Go to the link of LIC Division of your choice and carefully read details about the vacancies, other conditions and requirements. Apply Online through the link provided on next page.”

This update officially confirms that LIC Assistants 2019 recruitment is indeed about to happen. It was only yesterday that we had reported how people were sharing on social media that 8000+ vacancies of Assistants was about to be released.
Until yesterday, there was no official proof about this recruitment. Status updates on social media platforms stated that the largest insurance body in the nation will release recruitment notification for the post of assistant, for which application form will release on September 17 and close on October 1. It was also mentioned that exam will be held on October 21, and 22.
LIC is divided into eight zones – central, eastern, east-central, northern, northern central, southern, south central, western. The central zone covers Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. Eastern zone is for West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Then east-central zone comprises of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha. Northern zone has National Capital Territory of Delhi, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh. The northern central zone has Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand. Then southern zone includes Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Lakshadweep. And finally the south central zone has Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka.
The notification for LIC Assistants recruitment 2019 will be released separately for each zone. Whereas selection process, requirements, syllabus, and everything per se would be the same for each, only vacancy divisions will be different. In all LIC recruitments, candidates can apply from single zone only.
