Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Assistant recruitment 2019 is one of the most talked about government job exams in recent times. The notification owes its popularity to the huge number of vacancies (8000+) and educational qualification requirement where graduates could apply. LIC Assistant admit card 2019 will be released on October 15. It will remain available for download until October 22.
The dates of online preliminary exam are October 21 and October 22. Candidates who have applied will get to know their assigned exam date through the call letter.
On the scheduled date, admit card download link will be provided at licindia.in. Applicants can access it by going to licindia.in >> Careers (link in bottom menu) >> Recruitment of Assistants -2019.
The admit card can then be downloaded by logging in with registration number and password.
It will contain roll number, registration number, category, name and address, venue code, venue of the examination, login ID, password, date of exam, timings, photograph and signature.
Selection process for assistants recruitment will consist of preliminary exam and main exam. The former will be only for qualification purposes, whereas marks of the latter will be used for final merit list.
Preliminary exam syllabus has been provided in the sense of exam pattern in the LIC assistant notification 2019. As per it, the exam will have three sections, each with separate timings.
The sections will be english language or hindi language, numerical ability, reasoning ability. Number of questions will respectively be 30, 35, and 35. Maximum marks will be 30, 35, and 35. The sectional timings will be 20 minutes each.
Qualifying marks are already fixed. SC, ST, PWBD candidates should get at least 11 marks in english/hindi, 13 in numerical ability, and 13 marks in reasoning ability. Respective cut off for others will be 12, 14, and 14. However it may be noted that only as many number of candidates as equal to 20 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for mains. Here it is relevant to point out that for the purpose of shortlisting, only marks of second and third section will be used, the first one on language will only be for qualifying.
Language Knowledge Test
LIC has further notified that it will conduct a test for knowledge of language of state. As mandated in the notification, candidates are required to know the official language of the state or UT.
To check the same, LIC will conduct a qualifying test of 25 marks. Candidates will have to secure 10 marks, or 9 marks if they belong to SC, ST, PWBD categories. However such candidates who qualify main exam and can show class 10th or 12th marksheet or certificate which says that they had studied the official language of the state or UR under which the division for which the candidate has applied falls, then that candidate need not appear in this test. Also those who have applied for divisions which are under state or UR whose official state language is hindi or english will also not have to appear in the language test.
