Only three days are left in the closing of online application window of UPSC Civil Services 2019. The aspirants of IAS 2019, and IFS 2019 can fill their application form until March 18, 2019, by 06:00 PM at upsconline.nic.in. The online payment can be done until the same deadline, but for cash mode, the candidates have to complete this process up to March 17, 2019.
This time UPSC announced 896 vacancies for IAS and other services and 90 vacancies for IFS 2019. While filling the form the candidates have to choose the name of Service for which he/she want to appear in the preliminary examination.
UPSC is inviting the application form from the candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline, and must be in the age group of 21 to 32 years. However, the Commission is provided the relaxation to the reserve category candidates. In addition to this number of the previous attempt for Civil Servies also matters. The number of attempts for Civil Services is the same as the previous time for the General Category candidate i.e. 06 times. Here also the reserved category candidate gets the relaxation, for SC/ ST category candidates there is no restriction on attempts.
The candidates should note that, as Civil Services Application Form has two parts of registration, it is mandatory to fill both of the parts. Filling only on part is not sufficient and will lead to the rejection of application form. The application form is only for preliminray examination. For the main examination, the qualifiers of preliminary examination have to fill the Detailed Application Form.
The application fee of Civil Service Preliminray examination is Rs. 100/-. The fee is exempted for SC / ST / Female category candidates and for the persons with benchmark disabilities.
This year the Civil Services Preliminray examination will be conducted on June 02, 2019. The candidates who will register themselves for the examination will be issued the admit card for the examination. The admit card will be issued in the month of May 2019 at the official website.
The candidates who obtain the 33% marks in paper II, and qualify the paper I are treated qualified in IAS prelims. They have to appear in the main examination.
As per the changes are done by UPSC in Civil Services, the candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section will be given the reservation. Total of 10% reservation to EWS candidates will be provided by the Commission.
