The NTA is going to close the online registration window for Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) 2021 tomorrow i.e. January 16, 2021. This means that candidates who are yet to submit their applications must hurry up and submit their applications today. It is not advisable to wait till the last date to avoid last minute rush and issues of heavy traffic on the website during the last days. JEE Main 2021 application form can be filled up at the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in only. The application fee can be paid till up to January 17, 2021.
How to apply for JEE Main 2021?
The National Testing Agency started the online registration and application process for JEE Main 2021 on December 16, 2020. Candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions can register and apply till tomorrow at the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in.
After opening the official website of JEE Main 2021, candidates can see the link “Apply for JEE (Main) 2021”. Click on this link and then click on “New Registration”. On the registration form, candidates have to enter the details of name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, identification proof details, complete address, email ID and mobile number. This information must be entered correctly as it cannot be changed in the later stages. Candidates have to set a password and click on submit to complete the registration process.
Once the registration process is over, candidates are issued an Application Number. The Application Number and Password must be entered on the Login page to open the online application form. Candidates have to enter the requisite details on the online application form and upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, result awaited attestation form (if applicable), category certificate and PWD certificate (wherever applicable).
The next step is to pay the fee amount online as specified in the information brochure. Candidates may note that the steps of registration and submission of online application form can be done together or separately. However, the applications are considered successful only after successful transaction of the application fee. Candidates have to print out the Confirmation Page generated after successful application form submission.
JEE Main 2021 Application Fee
The application fee for unreserved candidates for any one paper of JEE Main 2021 is Rs 650 for male candidates and Rs 325 for female candidates. For reserved category candidates, this fee is Rs 325 only. On the other hand, for any two paper or all of the three papers of JEE Main 2021, UR candidates have to Rs 1300 (for male candidates) or Rs 650 (for female candidates). Candidates belonging to reserved categories have to pay Rs 650 in order to apply for two or more papers of the exam.
JEE Main 2021 is also conducted in centres outside India. Unreserved candidates who are applying to appear in one paper in an overseas centre have to pay Rs 3000 (male). For reserved category candidates (including female candidates) the application fee for the overseas centre is Rs 1500. Those who are intending to appear in more than one paper in an overseas centre have to pay Rs 6000 (UR and male). On the other hand, reserved category candidates (including female candidates) have to pay Rs 3000 only.
