JEE Main for April 2019 session is all set to be held between April 07- 20 in computer based mode across 282 cities. Candidates are advised to submit their online applications, over the official website, i.e jeemain.nic.in by today (March 07, 2019). On the basis of the details provided by a candidate, National Testing Agency will issue JEE Main Admit card on March 20, 2019. But before this event, NTA will extend a correction window to rectify the errors committed by a candidate, at the time of form filling. This window will remain active from March 11-15,2019.
Candidates need to login with their Application Number and Password to edit/modify any of the details filled except the exam center. For each correction made, a candidate needs to pay an additional charge. So, this becomes evident that a candidate can edit details related to their name, date of birth, category, address, qualifying level marks and even their upload documents.
At the time of correction, a candidate must keep in mind that the signature and photograph files should be uploaded in jpeg format only. Whereas the file size of the photograph should be between 10 – 200 kb, the file of the signature should be between 4 kb – 30 kb. Other than these criteria, a candidate need to upload a colored and clear photograph which should not be a selfie or a polaroid photo. And the signature uploaded should not be in capital letters and should be in running writing with a blue/black pen on a white sheet.
After completing all the JEE Main 2019 Application form formalities, a candidate can focus on preparing for this entrance. To start the preparations in full swing, a candidate must start by familiarising themselves with the prescribes syllabus and exam pattern. For Paper 1, a candidate is required to attempt 90 MCQ type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. But for Paper 2, a candidate needs to attempt 82 questions in which Maths and General Aptitude will have objective type questions and 2 drawing questions of 70 marks.
JEE Main 2019 2nd attempt will be a 360 mark paper which will be conducted in 2 time slots, i.e firstly from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and secondly from, 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This national level entrance exam is conducted for admissions to various NITs, CFTIs, IIITs, etc., in order to pursue B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch / B.Plan courses. Candidates need to appear for JEE Main Paper 1, if he/she is a BE/B.Tech aspirant, whereas candidates need to appear for Paper 2, if he/she is a B.Arch/B.Plan aspirant. From 2019 onward, JEE Main has been taken over to be conducted by an agency, known as National Testing Agency to establish transparency and to conduct the exam as per international standards.
