The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is conducting the GATE 2022 exam this year and the regular registration process will be open only for the next 07 days. GATE 2022 registrations started on September 02, 2021, and the last date for regular registration and application form fill up is September 24, 2021. Those who fail to apply on or before the last date for regular registration have to pay an additional late fee in order to apply during the extended period till October 01, 2021.
GATE 2022 registrations are currently ongoing on the official website i.e., gate.iitkgp.ac.in through GOAPS Login. GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) is the online portal through which, eligible and aspiring candidates have to apply online for the upcoming exam, upload specified documents on the online application form and pay the application fee online at the time of application form fill up.
How to apply for GATE 2022?
All candidates have to apply online on the GOAPS portal as per instructions laid down by the IIT Kharagpur, being the conducting body of the upcoming GATE 2022 exam. The step by step guidelines provided below can be followed to register online and apply for the GATE 2022 exam easily.
1st Step – Open the website gate.iitkgp.ac.in using any compatible internet browser. ‘
2nd Step – Click on the Apply Online link on the homepage of the portal.
3rd Step – Click on New User Register Here.
4th Step – Fill up the registration form with basic details like name, email ID, mobile number etc.
5th Step – Set a password and click on Submit to generate the Enrollment Number.
6th Step – Use the Enrollment Number and Password to log in and fill up the GATE 2022 application form online.
7th Step – Fill up the application form by entering Exam details, Personal details, Correspondence address, Qualifying exam details and proceed to upload documents.
8th Step – Upload scanned images of a coloured photograph, signature and photo identification.
9th Step – Select a payment mode and pay the application fee online.
10th Step – After final submission, generate a print-out of the application form and preserve it for future reference.
GATE 2022 Application Fee
Candidates applying within the regular period for GATE 2022 registration have to pay only the one-time application fee. However, those who apply after the regular period ends, and during the extended period till October 01, 2021, have to pay an additional late fee, in addition to the actual application fee.
