New Delhi: The Hindi Olympiad Foundation hosted the International Hindi Olympiad Award Distribution Ceremony and Amrit Kumbh Samman at the C. D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, on Tuesday in a dignified and vibrant atmosphere. The event, held from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, brought together participants, academicians, and distinguished guests from across India and abroad.
The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished attendees were Deputy Mayor of Delhi Master Jai Bhagwan Yadav, Dr. Pradeep Kumar (IRS, Joint Director, GST), Dr. Renu Singh (Principal Director, Amity International School, Noida), Mrs. Sunila Athale, and educationist Dr. Ayushi Ketkar.
The event was presided over by Shri Rajesh Vats, Chairman of the Hindi Olympiad Foundation, while Mrs. Hemlata, Convener of the Foundation, delivered the introductory address outlining the organization’s initiatives aimed at promoting and propagating Hindi globally.
Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta emphasized the growing importance and relevance of Hindi in contemporary times. He highlighted its increasing role in administrative work and praised the Hindi Olympiad Foundation for its dedicated efforts in promoting the language worldwide. He also congratulated the award winners and extended his best wishes for their future achievements.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar spoke about the practical significance of Hindi in everyday communication and governance, stressing its importance in administrative functions. Shri Rajesh Vats also shared the Foundation’s future roadmap and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the global presence of Hindi.
During the ceremony, winners of the International Hindi Olympiad and notable contributors to Hindi were honoured with the prestigious Amrit Kumbh Award in recognition of their efforts toward promoting the language.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
