Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has started online registrations for the upcoming Kerala TET 2021 exam today i.e. on April 28, 2021. The link to apply online for the May 2021 exam has been activated today on the official website ktet.kerala.gov.in for eligible candidates. Aspirants can apply online at the official website by clicking on the registration link on or before the last date. The last date to apply is May 06, 2021.
The KTET or Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan to certify aspirants as eligible to apply for recruitment as a teacher in Lower Primary, Upper Primary, High School and as Language teachers. Earlier, the conducting body released the official notification of KTET 2021 containing the complete details of the exam. Candidates are advised to go through guidelines available in the online registration link before proceeding to apply online for the exam.
Guidelines to Apply for KTET 2021
One of the first things to do before applying online for KTET 2021 is to read the official notification carefully. Complete details about the exam including application process, fee details etc. are elaborated in the notification. One must also confirm that they fulfil the eligibility criteria as detailed in the official notification before proceeding to apply online for KTET 2021.
In addition to the official notification, candidates will also get a PDF of instructions for applying online. One must also open the PDF and read all the instructions carefully before applying for the exam. Candidates must also have a soft copy of their recent photograph in the jpg/jpeg format readily available before proceeding to fill up the application form. The photograph must be of the dimension 150 x 200 pixel and within the maximum file size of 20 to 30 KB.
In order to apply online, candidates have to first acknowledge that they have read the notification & instructions and have the photograph ready. After confirming these details, one can proceed to register for the exam. On the registration form, candidates have to select if they are employed as a teacher and choose the categories in which they intend to appear in the exam. The categories include Lower Primary, Upper Primary, Higher School and Language Teacher.
It may be noted that separate application forms are not accepted for different categories from a single candidate. Each candidate have to submit only one application form indicating all the categories of KTET that they intend to appear for. After selecting the category, candidates have to fill up the form by entering the basic details. Basic details of the candidate include name, parent’s name, gender, date of birth, religion, category, caste, AADHAR number, address, physical status etc.
Candidates also have to enter a valid mobile number and email ID and furnish details of educational qualifications. One must upload the scanned image of their photograph as per specifications on the application form at the designated space. Candidates must enter all the details carefully and submit the form after ensuring that all the information entered and the choice of exam centre and categories selected are correct. Once done, candidates have to click on “Save” to proceed to pay the fee.
KTET 2021 application fee amount is Rs 500 for candidates of the unreserved category. One can pay the fee using internet banking/credit or debit card at the last step. For candidates belonging to SC/ST and Physically Disabled category, the application fee amount is RS 250. After paying the fee online, candidates can proceed to submit the application form and generate a print out for future reference.
