The Education Minister of Kerala, V Sivankutty, today, December 27, 2021, made a major announcement during a news conference. This announcement is pertaining to the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Board Exams 2021-22. The minister also provided clarity on the Plus Two board exams for the current academic year. Accordingly, both exams will be held during the March-April 2022 period. The official date sheet specifying the exact exam date for each subject shall be released soon, on the official website keralalpareekshabhavan.in.
According to the state education minister, the SSLC 2021-22 board exams will be held from March 31 to April 29, 2022. Similarly, the Plus Two board exams will commence from March 30 and shall continue till April 22, 2022. Prior to the actual board exam, the model exams will be held for both Class 10 and 12 students. These exams will be conducted with the intention of providing some practice and understanding of paper to state board students.
For Vocational Students
In the case of SSLC students, the model exams will be held from March 21 to 25, 2022. Similarly, for Plus Two and Vocational students, the model exams will be organized from March 16 to 25, 2022. The exact schedule and sequence of exams will be updated in due course of time.
Several SSLC or Class 10 students have opted for Information Technology (IT) as one of their subjects for the 2021-22 academic year. Such students will be expected to appear for their IT practical exam from March 10 to 19, 2022. For HSE and VHSE students, the practical exams will be conducted from February 21 to March 15, 2022. While HSE stands for Higher Secondary Education, VHSE is the acronym for Vocational Higher Secondary Education.

During the conference, the minister decided on specifying the dates for both theory and practical exams for three groups of students – SSLC, HSE, and VHSE. The exact date sheet will be uploaded soon, on the official website.
The SSLC and Plus Two Board Exam 2021-22 date sheet will most likely be released in the PDF format on the official portal keralalpareekshabhavan.in. It will specify three main details – 1. Subject Exam sequence, 2. Date for each exam and 2. Slot-timing for each subject. As of now, however, the education minister has not provided any clarity on the exam timings. Candidates are advised to visit the official website frequently, for any update in this regard.
