Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) will release gazette notification for recruitment of lower division clerk today, November 15, 2019, as per reports. Leading dailies of the state have confirmed today’s date to be the release date for Kerala PSC LDC notification 2019, and further state that December 18, 2019 will be the last date to apply.
The post of lower division clerk will be open for SSLC or class 10 pass candidates. As per reports the age limit will be 18 to 36 years. The upper age limit will be 36 years for general candidates, 39 for OBC, and 41 for SC / ST. cut off date for age calculations is supposed to be January 1, 2019.
Gazetted notification dated November 15, 2019 is intended to provide detailed information on the recruitment. It will be released at keralapsc.gov.in. Candidates will then be able to apply online through the one time registration of Kerala PSC Thulasi portal that is thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in. Those who already have a one time registration will be directly able to fill the form, others will first have to do the one time registration.
The current three year term will expire on April 1, 2021.
In the last Kerala PSC LDC recruitment, 17.94 lakh candidates had applied. This time an even higher number of 18 lakh candidates are expected to apply. The previous exam for 2016-2017 recruitment was held in the year 2017 in the months of June to August. Exams had to be conducted over a period of three months, owing to the large number of test takers.
Kerala PSC, for all its exams, issues gazette notifications first. Followed by opening online application form link in Thulasi portal. Then exam dates are announced month wise. Those who apply have to first confirm their candidature within a given time, and only then they can download the PSC hall ticket, again from thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in.
The syllabus for LDC recruitment by Kerala PSC shall be of a standard expected from class 10 pass candidate. PSC will publish a detailed syllabus as well.
Last time the Kerala PSC LDC exam was of 100 marks. Wherein the paper consisted of four sections namely general knowledge and current affairs, general english, simple arithmetic and mental ability, general knowledge in regional language. These sections were respectively of 50, 20, 20, and 10 marks.
Vacancy distribution is division wise. Usually separate vacancies are published for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Wayanad, Kannur, Thrissur, Kasargode, Palakkad, AlappuzhavPathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Eranakulam. By the same token, cut offs for Kerala PSC LDC release separately for each division.
If the reports are true, then Kerala PSC LDC notification 2019 will be available today, anytime now. Government job seekers can apply thereafter.
It is relevant to note that the state commission is conducting civil services exam, KAS 2019, for the first time. Last date to apply for it is December 4, 2019. If the LDC recruitment 2019 notification too releases now, then two major recruitment will happen simultaneously
