KEA Revises KCET 2019 Exam Date due to Lok Sabha Elections; Check New Dates Here

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has rescheduled the exam date for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET-2019). The entrance exam has been rescheduled due to the Loksabha elections. The Election Commission of India announced the schedule of Loksabha Elections 2019 on March 10, 2019. After which, the Govt. of Karnataka directed the KEA to conduct the KCET 2019 on May 29, and 30, 2019. The Kannada language test will be conducted on May 01, 2019.

Furthermore, the last date for submitting the online applications for KCET 2019 has been extended. The students can now apply for KCET 2019 till March 20, 2019. This is the last opportunity which is being provided to the students to apply for the entrance exam. After this, KEA shall not provide any further opportunity to the candidates. The candidates can submit the KCET 2019 Application Form is March 20, 2019, and the last date to pay the fees is March 26, 2019.

The students can apply for KCET 2019 online at kea.kar.nic.in. To apply online, the students need to visit the official website and then click on the link for the ‘CET 2019 Online Application Link’. In the Online Application, the aspirants need to fill in their Basic Information, Academic Qualification details, etc. In the KCET 2019 Online Application, the aspirants need to upload the scanned image of the  Candidate’s photo, full signature, left-hand thumb impression and father’s / mother’s / Guardian’s signature.

The images are to be uploaded in jpg/jpeg format only. Note that the size of the photo image must be greater than 5 kb and less than 40 kb and dimension of photo image should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm only. For signature, the file size must be greater than 5 kb and less than 40 kb and dimension of the signature image should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm only. Furthermore, for thumb impression image must be greater than 5 kb and less than 40 kb and dimension of thumb impression image should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm only.

The application fee for KCET 2019 is payable through e-Challan by depositing fee in any one of the following banks: e-Post Office, State Bank of India, Corporation Bank, ICICI Bank.

The exam conducting body will open the Application Form Correction window on March 21, 2019, after 05:30 PM. The facility for KCET 2019 Form Correction will be open for only those candidates who submit their application form and pay the application fee. The last date for editing details in the KCET 2019 Application Form is March 25, 2019, up to 05:30 PM.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state level entrance examination which is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority every year. Around 1.5 to 2 lakh candidates apply for KCET. The entrance exam is conducted to admit students to course such as B.Tech / B.Tech, B.V.Sc & A.H, B.Sc. (Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Bio. Tech, B.Tech (Food Technology / Dairy), B.Pharm, and Pharm-D courses.

KCET 2019 exam is going to be conducted on April 29, 2019, for Biology and Mathematics. The Biology exam will be conducted from 10:30 AM – 11:50 AM and the exam for Mathematics will start from 02:30 PM and will end at 03:50 PM. The exam for subjects Physics and Chemistry will be held on April 30, 2019. The timings for Physics test is 10:30 AM – 11:50 AM, and for the Chemistry, the timings are 02:30 PM – 03:50 PM.
