Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) 2019 is the first ever KAS exam in the state. As civil services aspirants from throughout the state rush to apply, understanding the registration process becomes critical. To apply for KAS 2019, candidates need to first register at Kerala PSC Thulasi one time registration, and then submit the online form through their profile.
Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) keeps registrations open all year round at thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in/thulasi/. Here, candidates interested in any Kerala PSC recruitment need to register once, hence it is the one time registration. The process is simple.
Visit the website thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in/thulasi/ and click new registration. Then enter all details asked in the form, and register. Then go back to the main page and login with user ID and password to complete the registration process. Upon logging in, appear five steps.
First step, after basic registration, is to enter personal details. This includes father’s name, mother’s name, identification mark, nationality.
Then step two is to fill in communication details that are the address, email id, mobile number.
Thereafter in third step, upload photograph. In fourth step, upload scanned image of signature. Then finally, step number five, is to preview the form and submit.
Once again, registered candidate needs to login and see if any field is left. Such as selecting declaration, entering educational qualification, language known. Also verify mobile number, as asked for.
The process of filling KAS Kerala 2019 online application form begins after that. When a OTR registered candidate logs in, they can see state wide general notifications at the login. Against the ongoing Kerala Administrative Service application form, clicking the apply online button leads to its form. Which, then needs to be filled following instructions that appear on the screen.
After successful submission of application form, status in the profile at Kerala PSC Thulasi shows as applied. Also, if the mobile number is registered, then an SMS is sent regarding the same.
There are three streams in KAS 2019 namely stream 1, 2, and 3. Stream 1 is direct recruitment, with age limit 21 to 32 years. Stream 2 is direct recruitment from among full members or approved probationers in any govt department with age limit 21 to 40 years. And third one is by direct recruitment from among candidates holding ist gazetted post or above in departments in the schedule-1 and equivalent posts in common categories listed in scheduled-1, for which, candidates should not have completed 50 years of age.
KAS 2019 notification was published by Kerala PSC in extra ordinary gazette dated November 1, 2019. The last date to apply for it is December 4, 2019. On the last date, application form filling will end automatically at 12 midnight. In their own interest, candidates are advised to not wait for the last date and rather apply sooner.
For civil services, selection will be through prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. The first one will only be qualifying in nature. Marks in mains and interview will be used for merit list for selection.
