The Telangana Panchayati Raj department has issued a job notification to fill various vacancies in the department. The latest notification that has been issued is for replacing the Junior Panchayat Secretary posts under the sports quota. The application process for a total of 172 vacancies will start from today, i.e. September 18, 2021. However, the last date to apply for the same is October 10, 2021.
To submit an online application, candidates have to visit epanchayat.telengana.gov.in. Then, click on the ‘Direct Recruitment of Junior Panchayat Secretaries under Sports Quota’ link. The tsprecruitment.in page will open. Enter the required details for applying online. Next, upload the sports achievement certificates along with the required forms. Please note that the candidate’s photo and signature must be uploaded in JPEG format while the certificates in PDF format. After that, proceed to the payment gateway where candidates can pay the application fee. Post successful payment, the filled application form will be generated. Candidates must carefully note the application number and print the application form for future reference.
Before submitting the application form, candidates must carefully go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification. Since these posts will be filled under the sports quota, hence the applicants should excel in various sports like hockey, volleyball, handball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, kabaddi, etc. Along with that, the candidate must have a graduate degree. In terms of age requirements, applicants must be between 18 to 44 years. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC categories will get age relaxation up to 05 years. Similarly, ex-serviceman candidates will get 03 years and Divyangs will get 10 years of age relaxation. The monthly consolidated remuneration is Rs 28,719.
Regarding application fees, General and BC (Creamy) category applicants have to pay Rs 800 while SC, ST and OBC (Non-creamy) candidates must pay Rs 400 as the application fee. The examination centres include Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar.
The written examination will consist of two papers 1 and 2. Paper 1 will cover topics like general studies and mental ability, culture and history of Telangana. Similarly, Paper 2 will comprise topics such as Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018; rural development programmes and other central and state-level government schemes. Each paper will carry 100 questions. The duration for each paper is 2 hours while the total marks for both of them are 200. Please note that the minimum qualifying mark for each paper is 35. The language of the question paper will be Telugu, English and Urdu.
