One can join Indian Army through various modes. However after 12th, NDA and TES are the only two options. Of the two, the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme, for course 43 commencing in July 2020 is announced and applications are invited for the same. Through TES 43, a total of forty vacancies will be filled.
TES 43 notification, online application form have been issued by the Indian Army at joinindianarmy.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 13, 2019, 12 hours.
Candidates can fill the application form by visiting the official website at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Only unmarried male candidates lying in the age bracket of 16.5 to 19.5 years can apply. Applicants apply for the course for attaining an engineering degree and a permanent commission in the army in the rank of lieutenant.
The application form can be filled online only and for the same no application fee is charged from the candidates. They must have passed 10+2 with 70% at least in physics, chemistry and maths.
From among the applicants, Indian Army will first shortlist candidates by fixing cut off on 12th marks. Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending upon the cut off percentage will undergo SSB at one of the Selection Centers.
The eligible candidates will be called by the Indian Army to appear for the SSB round and for the same, candidates are given the option to select the center for the SSB round online on a first come first serve basis. The options for the centers are Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab). The admit card for the interview is sent on the registered email id and SMS of the candidates, only. They will be put through the two stage selection procedure in which if the candidates fails to pass stage 1 they have to return home and rest will undergo the stage 2 of the selection procedure. The SSB interview will continue for 5 days of duration.
According to the official notification SSB interview is going to scheduled from Jan 2020 onwards. The selection is done according to the number of vacancies decided for the post which is 90 in this case. Indian Army provides training to the selected candidates for the duration of 5 years undergoing basic military training and technical training as well. The training will be done at officer training academy (OTA), Gaya. Selected cadets must not marry until the training period is not over. After the completion of 3 years training cadet is paid a sum of Rs. 56,100 (subjected to change).
By the recommendation of the SSB candidates will also have to undergo the medical test for which no objection should be raised. Those who are declared medically fit are provided with the final joining letter for training.
