Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) has extended the last date for submitting the JNVST application form 2021. Students who wish to apply for admission in class 6 and class 9 lateral entry in JNVs are given another chance to apply for the exam. The last date to apply for the JNVST form has been extended to December 29, 2020, for class 6 and to December 31, 2020, for class 9 lateral entry admissions. Students can apply for the exam online at navodaya.gov.in.

The application form is free of cost, hence, students need not require to pay any amount of application fee. In JNVST application form 2021. students will need to enter their personal details, academic details, etc. Before finally submitting the application form, students must ensure that the details as provided in the form are correct.
Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for class 6 is scheduled to be held on April 10, 2021, whereas for class 9, the exam is going to be held on February 13, 2021. The exam is going to be held offline, i.e pen-paper based mode. Students appearing for JNVST class 6 exam will need to prepare for topics like Mental Ability Test, Arithmetic Test, Language Test. For JNVST class 9, they will have to study topics like English, Hindi, Maths, Science. The paper consists of MCQ type questions for which students will get a limited time only.

At the time of admission, students will have to submit the necessary documents in proof of their eligibility like date of birth certificate, mark sheet, etc. Hence, before proceeding to apply for the selection test, students must check the eligibility criteria for the class in which they wish to take admission.
Presently, there are about 646 functional JNVS spread across over 27 States and 08 UTs. Students are offered admission in Navodaya Vidyalas based on their merit in the selection test. Hence, only those who qualify in the exam are offered admission in class 6 and class 9 lateral entry. The result for the selection test is released online and is also notified to the students by speed post and SMS.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are co-educational, residential schools spread all over the country except in the state of Tamil Nadu. The education in these schools is free including board & lodging, uniform, and textbooks, however, a sum of Rs. 600 per month is collected from the students of Classes IX to XII towards Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi.
