The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has successfully conducted the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for class 6 today, i.e. April 30, 2022. The exam took place for a duration of two hours from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. JNVST 2022 for class 6 has been designed in a way such that it has a non-verbal nature, is class neutral and allows a fair playing ground for the students from rural areas without facing any disadvantage.
According to the students, the overall difficulty level of the question paper was easy. All three sections were easy. Even though the students appeared for JNVST class 6 2022 exam for the first time, the question paper seemed familiar to them due to practice. Compared to the model question papers by the coaching institutes, the actual question paper was easy.
Exam Analysis
The questions followed an objective-type pattern. A total of 80 questions were asked in the exam. Every student was given a single test booklet comprising the three sections. Separate OMR sheets were given in which they had to mark their answers at appropriate places. Note that a specimen copy of the OMR sheet will also be uploaded to the NVS website in due time. While Mental Ability had the maximum weightage, Arithmetic and Language had less but equal weightage. The type and nature of questions have been given below.
Mental Ability Test – The questions in this section were based on figures and diagrams only which are framed in such a way to assess the general mental functioning of the students. MAT was divided into ten parts with each part having 4 questions.
Arithmetic Test – Questions from the second section of the test mainly assessed the student’s basic competencies in the subject. The total 20 questions were based on topics like number system, whole number, fractions, LCM and HCF, decimals, measurements, profit and loss, etc.
