Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is closing the registration window for the MBA Admission on March 01, 2019 (until 11:59 PM). It is only in this year, JNU has been added in the Non-IIMs list accepting Common Admission Test (CAT) Scores. JNU will start its first batch for the management course in the academic year 2019-21. So, interested candidates can apply online via CAT 2018 Scores before the last day.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME) is a newly established school of Jawaharlal Nehru University. The school started the registration for the new batch of the JNU MBA programme on January 20, 2019, at jnu.ac.in/abvsme-admission. The application fee is Rs 2000/- for general category and Rs 1000/- for others.
In order to apply for JNU MBA, candidates must have a minimum of three-year graduation degree. Along with it, it is required atleast 60% marks in graduation. For OBC and SC/ST/PWD, the minimum marks required are 55% and 45% respectively.
For JNU MBA admission, candidates have to fill one single application form which requires candidates’ personal, educational, contact, and CAT score details. Also, it is necessary to upload documents like CAT scorecard, photograph, signature, category certificate, qualification scorecards, and identity proof.
The admission in the university is based on the personal Interview rounds. JNU will inform selected candidates for the interview round as per the cut-off. For the interview round, three times the candidates in each category will be called. The final selection for the admission is based on CAT Result and interview scores. The weight-age is 70% and 30% respectively.
Candidates shortlisted for interview will get the intimation by the last week of March 2019. The interview round will take place on the notified dates on April 15, 16, and 18, 2019. The final result is scheduled to release on April 26, 2019, and the booking of seats shall start from May 03, 2019.
JNU is offering 50 seats for MBA admission. Since this is the first time that JNU is offering admission to the MBA, the cut-off of the programme is still not known. Looking at a few numbers of seats, it is expected that the minimum qualifying percentile will be high for JNU. Once the shortlist is out, the candidates will surely get the idea of the JNU MBA cut-off.
Currently, JNU is offering a Master in Business Administration (MBA). It is also planning to introduce two more programmes that are Diploma Programme in Entrepreneurship (1-Year) and a Ph.D. in Business Administration. The fee structure for the MBA programme is Rs 12 Lakhs for the general category. For OBC and SC/ST students, the fee is Rs 08 Lakhs and Rs 06 Lakhs respectively.
