Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) conducted JNU Entrance Exam 2017 on December 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2017. The exam was conducted successfully, in 53 cities. The students who appeared for the examination are waiting anxiously for the result now.
The result of JNUEE 2018 is due to be declared on February 21, 2018. First, the score of the candidates will be announced and then the qualified candidates will be called for the viva-voce. After the viva-voce, the merit list of the selected candidates will be published.
However, the candidates should note that the score announcement, followed by viva-voce is only applicable for B.A (Hons.) 2nd Year, M.Sc in SCMM & SCIS, M.A (Foreign Language), M.Phil / Ph.D., PGDE, M.Tech, MPH, COP, FOP, and ADOP (Mass Media) courses. The result for B.A (1st Year), M.C.A, M.A (Except Foreign Language), M.Sc. (Except M.Sc, SCMM & SCIS courses will only be announced as merit list.
The result will be released in online mode only. The candidates will be able to check it from the official website, http://www.jnu.ac.in. To access the result login, the candidates need to enter the Application Number / Registration Number, Program of Study and Field of Study. After checking it, the candidates should download it and secure a copy of it.
The Viva-Voce round will be held on March 20, 2018. In the viva-voce round, the candidates will be asked for the questions related to their subjects. The candidates are advised to prepare the frequently asked questions in Viva-Voce. After the Viva-Voce process, the candidates will get the final result.
The candidates who will be shortlisted for the Viva-Voce round will have to check the official website of JNU frequently. The notification regarding it will be sent on the registered email id. The candidates will not get the information through postal medium. The candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for the current updates.
The merit list for the non viva-voce courses will be released on March 25, 2018, and the same for the courses, where viva will be held are due to be declared on April 15, 2018. The final admission will only be done on the basis of merit. The merit list of JNUEE 2018 will only contain the details of the qualified candidates. The candidates featured in it will have to fulfill the further formalities of admission.
The selected candidates will have to register with JNU before the prescribed last date. For B.A. (Hons.) 1st Year, B.A. (Hons.) 2nd year Part time, COP, DOP & ADOP (Mass Media) courses, the register is open on July 23 and 24, 2018. Aspirants of M.A./M.Sc./M.C.A. courses will be able to register on July 25 and 26, 2018, and the for M.Phil./Ph.D, Ph.D., M.Tech., MPH, PGDE courses, the registration is to be done on either July 27 or July 28, 2018.
Along with the merit list, JNU will also release a wait list. The wait list will contain the names of those candidates who will be called for admission if seats remain vacant even after the first round of admission. The registration for the wait list candidates can be done on July 30 and 31, 2018. The final admission deadline for all the candidates is August 14, 2018. All the best to all the candidates.
