JNU Delays JUNEE 2019 Application Process; Exam to be held in Online mode

JNUEE 2019 Application Process Delayed

The Jawaharlal Nehru University has published a notification that the application process for JNUEE 2019 will be delayed for the academic session 2019. Earlier, the exam conducting body announced the exam date for the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE 2019). The exam was scheduled to be held from December 27 till 30, 2018. However, it has been notified that due to the change in the examination pattern of JNUEE 2019, the admission process will be delayed.

With the delay in the application process, it is expected that the exam date for JNUEE 2019 may also change. However, as of now, the University has only notified about the delay in the availability of the e-prospectus/ application form.

JNUEE 2019

Till last year, the University used to conduct a pen-paper based test for JNUEE, but it has been changed from pen-paper to computer-based test. Other than the mode of the examination, the rest of the pattern shall remain same. The candidates will get Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the entrance examination.

The JNUEE 2019 Application Form will be available online at the official website, admissions.jnu.ac.in. The aspirants who wish to appear for the entrance exam must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria and only then should proceed to register for the exam. No date has been announced yet to when the application process may begun.

To apply for the entrance exam, the aspirants need ot register online by entering their basic information such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, etc. Once the registration is done, the candidates can then proceed to fill in other necessary necessary information in the JNUEE Application Form 2019.

To submit the Application Form, the aspirants will have to pay a required amount of the application fee. The fee payable for submitting the form depends on the category of the candidate, and the number of courses in which a candidate applies to.

Furthermore in the JNUEE Application Form, one also have to upload scanned image of their recent passport size photograph and Signature. The images which are to be uploaded in the online form must be as per the specifications and format specified by the University. For example for uploading the photograph, the file size should be between 20-50 KB and the format should be JPG only, whereas, for the Signature, the file size shall be between 10-20 KB.

About the Exam 

The Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) is a University level entrance examination which is held by the Jawaharlal Nehru University every year. The entrance exam is conducted to offer admission to candidates in UG, PG, and PhD programs such as M.Phil/Ph.D., MPhil/ Ph.D. through JRF, M.Tech., MPH., PGDE, M.A., M.Sc., MCA, B.A. (Hons.), etc. The selection of candidates for the courses are done on the basis of their merit in the entrance examination. The shortlisted candidates are then eligible to appear for the Counselling round(s).
