The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research has announced the result for JIPMER MBBS 2018 entrance exam. The entrance test was held on June 03, 2018 across 291 centres, 130 cities in two shifts. This year, nearly 1,97,751 aspirants registered for the JIPMER MBBS entrance examination 2018, out of which, about 1.97 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance test.
The result is available online at the official website of JIPMER, jipmer.edu.in. The result is available in pdf format. The list consists of the name of the candidates who have qualified the entrance test.
There are two types of merit list which are available on the website, one is a Category wise merit list and an Overall merit list.
This year, in the General Category, Ankadala Anirudh Babu topped the entrance exam by obtaining 99.99 percentile. The second rank holder in UR category is Akhil Tambi, whereas, the third rank holder is Prerak Tripathi.
The top 25 rank holders in the UR category are Ankadala Anirudh Babu, Akhil Tambi, Prerak Tripathi, Amitabh Pankaj Chauhan, Keerthana K, Kshitij Agarwal, Ramneek Kaur Mahal, Abhishek Garg, Siddharth Ravi, Syed Fazeel Mohsin, Albert Philip Jacob, Merin Mathew, Debdeep Saha, Mehak Arora, Joshua Abraham Issac, Gande Adarsh, Drashti Ashish Pankh, Rajput Prithivising Darbarsing, Ojasvini Bali, Parul Berry, Lokesh Paras Mandlecha, Vishwesh Milind Bharadiya, Amit Kumar Singh, Pulkit Bansal, and Aditya Singh.
Though the result for JIPMER MBBS 2018 has been announced, yet the candidates are not able to check the result. There are some of the technical issues due to which the files are not opening. It is advised to the candidates to have patience and refresh the page again.
To qualify the entrance test, the candidates need to obtain minimum cut off percentile. For UR, OCI, NRI candidates the cut off is 50th percentile, for UR OPH candidates need to obtain 45th percentile, however, SC, ST, OBC, SC PH, ST PH, OBC PH need 40 percentile.
There are total 200 seats available for MBBS admission, out of which, 150 is for JIPMER, and 50 for JIPMER, Karaikal. Out of these 200 seats, 100 are reserved for the candidates who are residents of Puducherry.
JIPMER MBBS is national level entrance test which is conducted on a yearly basis for admission to MBBS seats offered by the institute in its two campuses at Puducherry and Karaikal. It is a computer-based test over a time period of 2.5 hours. The test had a total of 200 questions from the 5 sections of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Comprehension, Logical and Quantitative Reasoning.
