However, 2 of them indicated the overall merit list. The overall merit list was topped by Arunangshu Bhattacharya. He is the topper of JIPMER MBBS 2019.

Arunangshu Bhattacharya has scored an overall percentile of 99.9986761 in JIPMER 2019. Arunangshu Bhattacharya says he focused on revising a lot. He set a daily goal of revising at least one chapter completely in a day. He did self-study daily for 6 hours. He ensured to get complete sleep of 7 hours. He wants to do specialization in Neuro or Cardio.
Both the parents of Arunangshu are engineers, but he had an interest in Biology since the very beginning. His father is Samarjit Bhattacharya, who is an Electrical Engineer and mother is Aprajita Bhattacharya, and she is a Chemical Engineer. In his class 12 boards, Arunangshu has secured 94.8% percent.
Arunangshu is a brilliant student. Apart from academics, he is high on olympiads too. He has qualified NTSE and has secured AIR 26 in KVPY in class 11. Currently, he is in Mumbai for International Biology Olympiad 2019. The final stage of which will be held in Hungary.
