The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEEC-UP) has released the Information Brochure for the academic session 2019. The JEECUP 2019 Information Brochure consists of complete details about the exam. The UPJEE (Polytechnic) is going to be held on April 28, 2019, in multiple shifts.
The exam conducting body for the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) has now officially announced the examination date to be on April 28, 2019. The examination is to be conducted in two shifts for candidates of different groups. The examination for candidates for Group A (Engineering/Technology Diploma Courses) is from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM and that for candidates who are to take the examination for Group B to K is from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM.
The online registration for JEECUP 2019 will start by the Third week of December 2018. The aspirants will be able to apply for the entrance examination online from the official website, www.jeecup.nic.in. Prior to start applying, a candidate should be ready with the following documents, as per the laid guidelines – scanned photograph, signature, and thumb impression. Candidates will be required to fill some mandatory fields like Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Contact Details, identification document/ number and Password, Security Answer etc.
After successfully registering for the entrance exam, the next step for a candidate is to enter domicile, category, subcategory, group, exam center choices and minimum qualifying examination details etc. The 3rd step for a candidate will be required to upload the necessary documents and pay the specified amount of application fee.
Candidates can choose to make the application fee payment by choosing any of the following available payment gateways – net banking/credit/debit card or through e-challan. For General / OBC candidates, the application fee is Rs. 300, whereas for SC / ST candidates, the application fee has been fixed at Rs. 200. Separate bank charges will be applicable to both category candidates.
Aspiring candidates should be familiar with the exam pattern so that he/she is able to score well in the entrance examination. The JEECUP 2019 will be conducted in offline mode pen-paper based test. The question paper will be Bilingual, Hindi, as well as, English Language. The questions in the examination will be objective type (multiple choice based). The entrance test will be pertaining total 100 questions and candidates are required to attempt the questions in 3 hours. The question will be asked on the basis of the group chosen by the candidate.
As far as the marking scheme is concerned, for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 04 marks. ¼ (one fourth) marks will be deducted from the total score in case of incorrect answers. So, candidates should answer all the questions wisely. There shall be no deduction of marks if no response/ more than one response is indicated for a question.
