As promised, National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main admit card 2020 today at 6 pm. The examination hall ticket is now available for download at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The website jeemain.nic.in is also redirecting to the new website, so candidates can type either url in their browsers.
The direct link to download JEE Main admit card 2020 is testservices.nic.in/examsys/root/DownloadAdmitCard.aspx?enc=Ei4cajBkK1gZSfgr53ImFQTbjVzuZ1mQajFt6EnKeZEk28J/HZOEuCngppd8/JG7.
Candidates should note these 5 important points related to the admit card, and exam.
The first important thing to know is that the process of obtaining admit card of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains is online only.
Thus all who had applied for the exam between September 3 to October 10, 2019, should download their hall tickets before the exam, and not wait for the same to be received by post or any other means.
Then the second thing is about how to download the admit card. Candidates need to go to jeemain.nta.nic.in, and click the link “Download Admit Card”.
On the next page are two options, one says “through application number and password”, and the second says “through application number and date of birth”. On the respective links, candidates need to login with the required credentials.
Coming to the third point, those who have forgotten application number or password can use the forgot application number, and forgot password links available on login page to get the respective data.
For application number, name details have to be entered. Whereas for password, options are available to reset it via security question or reset links to email and sms.
Next, the fourth point, is about documents and items to be taken to the exam center on the day of exam.
A print copy of JEE Main 2020 admit card, 1 passport size photograph, 1 authorized photo ID are the three documents mandatory for all. Photo ID can be any one among PAN card, DL, voter ID, passport, aadhaar card with photo, e-aadhar with photo, ration card, 12th class board admit card with photo, bank passbook with photo. Another document, applicable only for PWD candidates, is the PWD certificate which should be taken to the center.
Fifth and the last point is to be thorough with the details presented in the admit card.
The precise details on the document will be roll number, candidate’s name, date of birth, category, father’s name, gender, state of eligibility, application number, paper medium, course name, description, reporting time at centre, gate closing time of centre, date of examination, shift, timing of test, test centre number, venue of test, instructions.
Not only should students confirm that the details match application form (those that are taken from there), they should also closely understand the rest of the details.
For example, don’t just note the exam timings, look at the reporting time and ensure you reach there on your exam date by that. Don’t just look at the center name, better to go to the centre a day in advance and be sure of its location. Mark the exam date in your calendar to avoid missing it at all costs. And most importantly, keep your documents and items to be taken to center ready.
Best wishes to all candidates for JEE Mains January 2020. The exam dates are January 6 to 11, 2020. Result will be announced by January 31, 2020.
