The National Testing Agency has postponed the Phase 3 April session due to the COVID-19 pandemic and there is uncertainty about Phase 4 (May exam) as well. NTA is to release the application form of the May session on May 03, 2021, and the May exams are to be held from 24 to 28 May 2021.
But the preceding session of the May exam, that is the April session has been postponed by NTA due to COVID-19 which were to be held on April 27, 28, and 30, 2021. The point is that NTA has not announced any postponement for the May session. Thus the question that arises here is whether the May session will be postponed or will be held as per the schedule. Also, will the May application forms be out on May 3, 2021?
NTA has also mentioned that the new exam dates for the April session will be out 15 days before the exam, however, as of now, no notification about the exam date has been released.
Thus, there are high chances that the May session (Phase 4) exam will be rescheduled due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. NTA might not hold the May session and might reschedule the exam as the pandemic situation in the nation is not favourable to hold the exams. However, an official notice for the May session is yet to be issued.
The candidates can fill JEE Main 2021 application form at jeemain.nta.nic.in, when the forms are available.
The May session will be held for B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan aspirants. However the April session was only scheduled for the B.Tech aspirants.
Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE Main) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission into B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan. The test comprises multiple-choice and numerical value-type questions. The qualified candidates are granted admission into NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. The exam is conducted as a computer-based test (except drawing test in B.Arch).
As per media reports, IIT Kharagpur also conducted a meeting to look at JEE Advanced situation. The Chairman of JEE Advanced 2021 has announced that it is likely that JEE Advanced 2021 exam date will be changed from July 04, 2021, because there has to be a reasonable gap between JEE Mains and Advanced.
