Director of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Dr. Vineet Joshi, has confirmed that the first attempt of Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Main 2021 will not be held in the month of January. The exam dates for JEE Main are not confirmed yet. However, NTA is planning to hold it in the month of February or so. In addition to this, the Director also disclosed that application forms for the national level exam will be available soon.
The Director made the announcement via a zoom meet. The meet was held on November 24, 2020, and the Director himself addressed the issues. He explained that since the entire session is going late due to the pandemic, JEE Main 2021 Jan exam has been delayed.

Usually, by September application form for JEE Main first attempt are released and the exam is then held in the month of January. However, this year, all the exams are getting delayed due to pandemic. The dates for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 are also unclear. NEET is generally held in the first Sunday of May but this time, it might be delayed.
The application form of JEE Main 2021 will release at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The forms will only be available online and the candidates will have to register, fill the firm, upload scanned documents, pay the fee to apply for JEE Main 2021.
The candidates will be allowed to select 4 exam city of their choice in the online form. The choices have to be added in order of preference in the form.
The scanned documents that were asked to upload in the form last year for January attempt were passport-sized photo and signature of the candidates.
JEE Main 2021 will be held in India and also abroad. It will be a computer-based test and there will be 3 papers – B.E / B.Tech paper, B.Arch paper, and the B.Plan paper. Candidates can choose to apply for all 3, any 2, or any 1 paper. The application fee will vary accordingly.
The question paper of JEE Main was set in 3 languages until last year, Hindi, English, and Gujarati. This year it is expected that the exam can be held in more regional languages as per certain reports.

Joint Entrance Examination Main is a national level entrance exam. It is held for admission of candidates in B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch, and B.Plan course. The exam is held twice a year, usually in the month of January and April. Based on JEE Main rank, candidates get admission in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. Apart from this, the exam also serves as eligibility for IIT JEE Advanced.
