The National Testing Agency has officially extended the last date to register and apply for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2021. As per the latest notice released at the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in, the last date to register and submit the online application form for JEE Main 2021 has now been extended to January 23, 2021. The last date to pay the application fee is January 24, 2021. The NTA is also allowing candidates to make corrections on the application form from January 27 to 30, 2021. JEE Main 2021 is scheduled to be held for the February session from February 23 to 26, 2021 in centres across the country. Candidates can check out the official extension notice here below.

How to register and apply for JEE Main 2021?
The NTA has only extended the last date to apply for the JEE Main 2021 exam. All the other terms & conditions and procedure to apply are unchanged. This means that candidates have to apply online on the official website by paying the requisite application fee. The online application process includes the registration at first followed by application form fill up, document upload and payment of the application fee.
Register for JEE Main 2021
Intending candidates have to register at first on the official website by providing the basic details and setting a password. At the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in, candidates have to click on the option Apply For JEE Main 2021. After this, candidates have to click on New Registration on the page that opens. The registration form opens up and candidates have to enter the correct details on the form in the designated fields.
Candidates have to enter their name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, identity type & identity proof number, full address, email ID and mobile number. One must also set a password which is to be used for logging in to the website in subsequent stages. After entering and verifying the correct details, candidates can submit the registration form to complete the process. Registered candidates are issued an application number which may be noted down along with the password.
Application Form for JEE Main 2021
Once the registration process is over, registered candidates have to log in to the website jeemain.nta.nic.in using the application number and the password to fill up the online application form, upload the documents and pay the requisite fee. At the homepage of the aforementioned website, candidates have to click on Apply For JEE Main 2021 and then enter the Application Number, Password and Security Pin in the login form.
After logging in to the website, candidates can fill up the form by entering the requisite details such as educational qualifications etc. Scanned copies of latest passport-sized photograph and signature must be uploaded after which, candidates can proceed to pay the application fee. The application process is considered successful only after successful payment of fee and generation of the Confirmation Page.
JEE Main 2021 Application Fee
Candidates applying to appear in only one paper of JEE Main 2021 have to pay a fee of Rs 650 (General, OBC, EWS). However, female candidates, SC/ST, Transgender and PWD candidates applying for one paper have to pay only Rs 325.
Candidates who are intending to apply for two or more papers of JEE Main 2021 have to pay a fee of Rs 1300 (General , OBC, EWS). However, SC/ST, Transgender, PWD and female candidates have to pay only Rs 625.
Those who are opting for an overseas centre have to pay a fee of Rs 3000 for one paper and Rs 6000 for more than one paper (General, OBC, EWS). However, candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD, Transgender categories and female candidates have to pay Rs 1500 for one paper and Rs 3000 for more than one paper if they apply for an overseas centre.
