The National Testing Agency has announced a major step towards avoiding a clash of the May 2021 session with CBSE Class 12 Board exams in the current year. In an official public notice issued at jeemain.nta.nic.in, the NTA has declared that JEE Main 2021 application form is to be opened on May 03, 2021. Eligible candidates intending to appear in the May 2021 session who have their Board exams on any of the JEE Main 2021 exam dates must indicate the information on the application form of the JEE Main exam. Check out the public notice here below in this read.
The latest NTA notice reads, “candidates appearing for the Class 12 Board examinations as well as JEE Main will be required to provide information (regarding the date)…and select the date in their online application form..”.
NTA is already set to conduct the JEE Main 2021 exam in four sessions this year in February, March, April and May 2021. The exam dates for each sessions are already announced. JEE Main 2021 is scheduled to be conducted on May 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2021 across the country. Unfortunately, the Class 12 Board exams of CBSE and other school boards are expected to be conducted around the same time.

The aforementioned situation leads to a possibility of clash of JEE Main 2021 and Board exams date. Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12 Board exams as well as the JEE Main in 2021 have therefore reported this to the NTA.
“Keeping in view the interest of the candidates and to avoid any clash between the two examinations, the NTA will open the Application form of JEE Main 2021 from 3rd May to 12th May 2021 (for the May session)”, the NTA notice read.
National Testing Agency has already completed the application process of JEE Main 2021 in January. However, the application form is scheduled to open before each session for 3-4 days. Candidates have the option to apply for one session or all four sessions of the JEE Main 2021. The national level entrance exam is usually conducted twice a year for admission to UG programs in various NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs. However, this year has been an exception with the NTA conducting the exam in four sessions so that candidates can have multiple chances to clear the test.
JEE Main 2021 is scheduled to be held from February 23 to 26 for the February session, March 15 to 18 for the March session and April 27 to 30 for the April session. Candidates are advised to check the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in for further updates.
