JEE Main 2020: NTA extends last date for application form till October 10, Apply now @ jeemain.nta.nic.in

In view of several student requests, NTA is providing ten more days to apply for the national level engineering entrance exam.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for submitting the JEE Main Jan 2020 application form. Initially, the deadline for submitting the form for January session exam was today that is September 30, 2019. However just now a notification has been released, as per which, now the last date for form submission has been extended to October 10, 2019. Candidates can register for JEE Main Jan 2020 online at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

With the last date for form submission extended, students can now submit the form till 11.50 pm of October 10, 2019, and pay the application fee via credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, Paytm upto 11.50 of October 11, 2019. As a result of changing the registration last date, form correction dates have also been revised. Now correction in the particulars of JEE Main 2020 application form will start from October 14, 2019, and end on October 20, 2019. As of now, the image correction facility is available for the candidates who have received SMS/ email regarding the discrepancy in their images.

There is no late application fee, hence, candidates can submit the application form before the deadline with usual fees. NTA notified that it received several request from the students for extending the last date of form submission.

NTA has provided helpdesk number 0120-6895200 to solve queries on online application and fee.

JEE Main 2020 is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. The medium of Question Paper is in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2018 or 2019; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) Jan 2020 Examination.

In order to apply online, the candidates need to visit the offiical website of JEE Main. On the homepage of the website, click on the “Fill Application Form” button. In the next screen, a new page will open where students need to register online by entering details like their name, date of birth, category, mother’s name, email id, mobile number, etc. Provide all the details required for the registration form and then create a password. After this, the candidates need to fill-in details in the Application Form, upload the images, select the test center, and pay the required amount of the application fee. Make payment through debit card, credit card/internet banking/UPI/PayTM. Finally, download the acknowledgement slip and take a print out of the same for further reference.

Aspirants need to pay application fee ranging from Rs 325 to Rs 6000 depending upon category, gender, and center within or outside India. NTA is conducting the entrance exam from January 6 to 11, 2020. The  conducting body has introduced some changes in the exam pattern this year and has introduced a separate paper for entrance to B.Planning course.
