JEE Main 2019 Photo Correction Login Started

National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online photo correction for JEE Main 2019. The window for photo correction in JEE Main Application Form started on March 07, 2019. The candidates can edit and upload images as per the specifications online at jeemain.nic.in. One of the reasons for rejection of the application form of the students is incorrect images uploaded. Hence, it is advised those students who have received an SMS from NTA regarding a discrepancy in the image must look into it and upload correct images as soon as possible.

For JEE Main 2019 Photo Correction, the candidates need to visit the official website at jeemain.nic.in. On the homepage of the website, click on the “Login for Image Correction” button. Next, the candidates need to log in by entering their Application Number as received after the registration and Password as created by the candidate. Click on the “Login” button to submit the details and then in the next screen, the Candidate Dashboard will appear on the screen. Next, click on the relevant link for uploading the correct images in the JEE Main 2019 Application Form.

Now that we are talking about the error in the images, let us find out the common mistakes which a candidate makes. First is uploading images not as per the specification. Second is uploading the photograph with a dark background, third is uploading a blurred image and so more. Here, the candidates will get to know the complete information on what is the correct image to be uploaded in the JEE Main 2019 Form.

Firstly, let us talk about the Photograph of the candidate. As per the information brochure, the candidate has to upload their scanned photo in JPG/JPEG format only. The file size of the scanned photo should be between 10 kb to 200 kb. Now, for the signature, the same guidelines are to be followed. The students have to upload the scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format and the file size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

Other few things which one should take care of is that you have to upload the photograph taken against a light background, preferably white. The photo should clearly show your face, eyes and both ears. Upload a recent photograph of yours. For the signature, the candidates must sign with a black/ blue ink pen. Do not sign in CAPITAL LETTERS. Do your signature in running handwriting.

The facility for image correction is open for only those candidates who have received an SMS regarding an error in the image. Those who have uploaded the correct image will not be able to avail this facility. The JEE Main 2019 Form Correction will start from March 11, 2019, onwards and the last date to edit details are March 15, 2019. The candidates who have applied for the first time will be able to change all details in the JEE Main Application Form except for Exam Centers. However, the January session candidates, will not be able to edit details as mentioned on their scorecard.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between April 07-20, 2019. This national level entrance exam was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until 2018. JEE Main is conducted to admit students for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.
