National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2019 Question Paper with Answer Key on April 14, 2019. The question paper, response sheet and answer key for JEE Main 2019 April exam has been released on jeemain.nic.in. After the release of Question Paper, NTA also releases the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key.
To download the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key and Question Paper, the candidates need to visit the official website of JEE Main. On the homepage of the website, the candidates need to click on the “Download Question Paper and Response Sheet” button. Next, the candidates will get two options for downloading the JEE Main 2019 Question Paper. To download it, the candidates have to log in by entering their Application Number, Password/ Date of Birth. Click on the “Login” button to submit the details. On submitting the details, in the next screen, the candidate’s dashboard will appear on the screen. On the Candidate dashboard, the candidate will have to click on the relevant button and the question paper and answer key will appear on the screen.
The candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2019 Question Paper of their respective exam date and shift only. The candidates must download the JEE Main 2019 Question Paper and Response sheet which is to be used for cross-checking the answers.
When cross-checking the answer, the candidates need to add and deduct marks as per the marking scheme only. Hence, for a correct answer, the applicant need to add 04 marks and in case of an incorrect answer, deduct 01 marks. For questions in which multiple options have been marked, in such a case, there is a negative marking of 01 marks.
Generally, a day after releasing the question paper with response sheet, NTA releases the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key. However, for the April attempt the Answer Key has been released along with the Question paper and response sheet only. With the release of the Answer Key, the candidates can also submit the objection in the key.
As per some coaching institutes, the expected cut off for JEE Main 2019 shall be between 85-90 for General category, 45-70 for OBC category and 40-70 for SC, ST, PwD category candidates.
For JEE Main 2019 April attempt, a total of 9,58,618 candidates registered ((9,35,741 for Paper-I & 1,69,767 for Paper- II). The entrance exam was conducted at 16 centres in 13 cities in North Eastern States and 9,881 Candidates at 12 centres in 4 cities in Jammu & Kashmir. Paper 1 was held on April 08, 09, 10, 12, 2019 and Paper 2 was conducted on April 07, 2019.
The score of JEE Main 2019 is used for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. Candidates who obtain marks equal to or greater than cut off, secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2019.
