JEE Main 2018 Online Exam Rules, Regulations, Dress Code

The D-day for the JEE Main 2018 aspirants has come. Candidates must be curious and nervous for the exam day. Most of you have given almost a year for your preparation. So it is necessary you know the rules and regulations of the exam to avoid any last minute convenience. Any missing document, rules violation can definitely spoil your day and confidence as well.

For the examination prepare your Exam kit one day before the exam. Keep your admit card, Identity card, PWD certificate in it. If you are diabetic patient then you will be allowed to carry sugar tablets, a transparent bottle of water or fruits but no packed eatables are allowed in the examination hall.

The candidate is advised to reach examination hall at least 2½ hours before the examination time. As registration will take time and you will eventually have the buffer time to relax before the exam.

For the Dress code on the day of the exam, a candidate must have also thought what they should wear or not. As there is no official instruction has been released by JEE Main, a candidate should pick something simple and comfortable to wear. In the offline exam last week, Candidates had the rigid checking of their belongings and metal detectors were used that day. So, candidates were not allowed to wear belts, shoes, chains etc in the examination hall.

After exam, you can check answer key along with question paper in online mode. It will be helpful in calculating score obtained.

Candidates for the convenience avoid having metal items in their attire. Avoid shoes and wear something where your toes are visible. Do not wear watches, accessories, jewelry, scarves, hair pins, belts having metal buckles etc. For Boys, wear a simple t-shirt and jeans. For girls apart from a tee and jeans can also wear kurti & leggings.

Candidate in the examination will not be allowed to take any bag and baggage. Even candidate is not allowed to have wristwatch, calculators, Pen, papers, slide rulers, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device in the examination hall.

In the examination hall maintain silence, using unfair means is a complete no. Also check for any papers, written material around your seat. Show your admit card to the invigilator when asked to do so. Before the start of the exam, you will be provided with a pen and a rough for the calculation work.

In case you have any query inside the examination hall approach only the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator for any technical assistance, First aid or any information regarding the exam.

Question paper is also likely to be emailed to online test takers after exam, by CBSE.
