JEE Main 2017 exam date has arrived. CBSE is organizing Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) over three days, first of which is on 2nd April. Engineering aspirants will appear for Paper 1 on this day in the morning session whereas architecture aspiring students will take the Paper 2 in afternoon session. To help candidates prepare for JEE Main 2017, good and useful JEE Main model question papers with answers are available online for free (check here). Preparations are one aspect that student has to be careful about now that exam day is here. Another thing they should keep in mind is the reporting time for JEE Main 2017 exam. This is mentioned clearly in admit card.
JEE Main 2017 Reporting time
Candidates shall be present by 7 am for Paper 1 and 12:45 pm for Paper 2.
Check admit card of JEE Main 2017 for reporting time specified for your exam date.
Now of course it is natural to worry about how to reach center on time and not get late. Latecomers will not get entry to exam hall.
We suggest you to visit JEE Main 2017 exam center at least one day before exam. By doing that you will,
- Know exact center location and mark it in google maps.
- Get an idea of how long it would take to reach there on day of exam.
Candidates are advised to leave early from home on day of exam so that they can beat the traffic and reach center on time. If your center is in a remote location with narrow roads leading upto it, keep a lot of buffer time in hand since at the same time several candidates will be commuting by cars and public transport on that very day and cause delays on roads.
Things to take to exam center on day of JEE Main 2017
Two things are most important on day of exam which are Admit Card and Identity proof.
Now up until last year the CBSE had also asked students to carry the following items.

This time though such a thing is not mentioned precisely in information bulletin.
JEE Main 2017 information bulletin says
Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least 2½ hours before the examination so as to complete the frisking and registration formalities well before the time.Registration desk will be closed 05 minutes prior to the examination.
Another document which only PWD candidates must carry is the copy of PwD certificate in the prescribed format (Appendix 9) issued by the Competent Authority.
