ISRO Scientist / Engineer ‘SC’ recruitment 2019 notification is out. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) invites candidates to apply online at isro.gov.in. The last date to fill and submit the online application form is October 14, 2019.
This recruitment is for candidates with BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree in civil, electrical, refrigeration and A/C, architecture. The scientist / engineer vacancies subject wise are 11 for civil, 5 for electrical, 4 for refrigeration and air conditioning, a for architecture.
To apply online, candidates need to go to isro.gov.in and click on careers. Then click ‘Centralised Recruitment (ICRB) , All Locations’. The next page contains all recruitment of this center. The table containing recruitment details contains ‘Recruitment of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical, Ref & Air-Conditioning and Architecture’ information, starting from notification to apply online link, and past year papers. Applicant needs to click the apply link to submit candidature.
The application for ISRO scientist engineer recruitment 2019 is Rs 100. Women, SC, ST, EXS, EWS, PWBD are exempt from fee payment.
Scientist / Engineer ‘SC’ post belongs to level 10 of pay matrix. The minimum basic pay will be Rs 56,100 per month.
For all the posts, the educational qualification requirement is BE/B.Tech with 65% in aggregate or 6.84/10 CGPA (except SC Architecture). Scientist / engineer civil post requires civil engineering, sc electrical requires electrical engineering or electrical and electronics engineering, sc refrigeration and air conditioning needs mechanical engineering with air conditioning & refrigeration or allied subjects as electives or as a core subject in any of the semesters. To be a scientist / engineer architecture candidate should have a bachelor of architecture with 65% or 6.84/10.
The upper age limit for all the posts is 35, as on October 14. It is relaxed to 40 for SC and ST, 38 for OBC.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted to appear in a selection test which is scheduled to be held on January 12, 2020. ICRB may fix a higher cut off if needed. Candidates will be issued call letters in the month of December, to download which, they should have preserved the registration number provided to them during the form filling now.
ISRO will conduct the exam at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. The exam will consist of 80 multiple choice questions.
An interview will later follow the written test, for those who qualify the first one. Final selection shall be on the basis of performance of candidates in interview and those who get 60% in interview will be considered for empanelment on basis of merit.
