The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) administered the ISC class 12th semester 1 Chemistry examination today, dated December 13, 2021. The theory-based examination was conducted in pen-and-paper-based offline mode. The examination was conducted for a duration of 90 minutes from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The ISC chemistry examination was conducted in two parts, a theory-based examination of 70 marks, and a practical examination which consisted of 30 marks. The candidates can check the unofficial answer keys released by many online educational platforms. The candidates were already provided the revised syllabus for both the semesters, specimen paper, and examination pattern on the official website of the board, CISCE i.e cisce.org.
ISC Chemistry Semester 1 Analysis
The students reported that the examination was entirely based on the bifurcated syllabus provided by the conducting body. The question pattern seemed familiar to the candidates who prepared themselves from the specimen paper. The questions asked in the Chemistry examination were doable and most of them were directly answerable. According to the candidates, the entire question paper could be scaled to a moderate level. The students were able to complete the entire Chemistry question paper within the provided time duration.
The Chemistry subject is one of the most important subjects for the Science students so the unofficial and official answer keys are expected to be released soon. Many youtube channels like Er. Yash Maheshwari, Mathematically Possible, and Pandit Singhal Sir, etc will be uploading the in-depth paper solution and answer key for the ISC Chemistry examination soon on their channels. As mentioned earlier, the ISC Chemistry examination was entirely centered around the bifurcated syllabus decided by the conducting body. This syllabus consisted of a total of seven units including Solid State, Electrochemistry, General Principles and Process of Isolation of Elements, Solutions, p-block Elements, Haloalkenes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers. The theory examination of Chemistry was conducted for a total of 35 marks. According to the revised examination pattern of the ISC examinations, the Chemistry exam consisted of objective-based questions, and the students were supposed to mark answers in an OMR sheet.
While some of the unofficial answer keys are released by the online educational platforms in the form of videos and PDFs, the official answer key is yet to be released by the board, CISCE. The official answer key is expected to be released soon by the conducting body on their official portal i.e cisce.org for the candidates so that they can easily check their probable scores. So, the candidates are advised to keep checking the official portal for any information regarding the official answer key.
