The Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) application form has been released. Candidates can apply for various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs at IPU. The selection will be made based on candidate’s merit and performance in the IPU CET. Interested candidates can apply at ipu.ac.in. till April 30, 2022. Candidates have to pay Rs.1200 as application fee for the IPU CET. The exam is likely to be conducted in the month of May/ June.
IPU CET eligibility criteria
- For candidates applying to UG courses, minimum 55% marks in Class 12 public exams in the 10+2 stream, with English as a subject.
- For candidates applying to PG courses, minimum 55% mark in their under-graduation, from a relevant stream.
- Candidates who are appearing for the final qualifying exams can also apply for IPU CET.
How to apply for IPU CET 2022?
Step 1: First, open the website ipu.ac.in.
Step 2: Under ‘Admissions 2022-23’ candidates will find the ‘Apply Online’ link. Click on it.
Step 3: Click on ‘GGSIPU Registration 2022’ in the external website.
Step 4: Now, select ‘New Candidate Registration’.
Step 5: Enter basic details, choose username, set your password and sign up.
Step 6: Next, head to ‘Registered Candidates Sign In’ and login.
Step 7: Now, fill up communication details, educational qualifications.
Step 8: In the final step, upload the required documents and complete the payment.
Candidates are advised to save their username and password for future purposes. The application and payment can only be done online. Candidates should keep an eye on the official website for any updates.

IPU CET exam 2022
It is expected that the IPU CET exam will be conducted in the month of May-June. The exam centre details, exam date and time will be communicated to the candidates through the admit card. The admit card is likely to be available by the second week of May. The result will most likely be released by the end of June. In that case, the counselling will take place by July, 2022.
IPU CET 2022 exam pattern
The exam is conducted in online mode, as a computer based test, for a duration of 2.5 hours. The questions are of MCQ type with 4 options accompanying each question. There are a total of 100 questions, carrying 4 marks each. There is a negative marking of 1 mark per wrong answer marked by the candidate. The IPU CET exam will be conducted only in English, except for B.Ed (English and Hindi). The candidates will be allowed to carry maximum 2 pens for rough work.
IPU CET exam syllabus
The syllabus for UG CET is school level aptitude and the questions are generally asked from the class 11 and 12 text books. For PG programs, the syllabus covers general aptitude and the subject-related questions. Therefore, the students should have a clear idea about their academics.
