A public notice on the official website of the Indian Navy i.e. joinindiannavy.gov.in has been circulated recently indicating the likely dates. The notice reads Application Window for Sailor’s Entry – AA-150 & SSR-02/2021 Batch is likely to open from 26 Apr 2021 to 30 Apr 2021. The Navy conducts the Artificer Apprentice (AA) and Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) to fill up vacancies in the post category of Sailor every year.
With the most likely online application dates announced by the Navy officially now, aspirants can expect the official notification for both SSR-02/2021 and AA-150 batches to release soon. Based on existing trends, the official notification releases online at the website joinindiannavy.gov.in. Likewise, with the release of the notification, the online application process is also conducted online at the aforementioned website as per schedule. Aspiring candidates are advised to keep a regular tab on the aforementioned official website for latest updates regarding sailor intake through AA and SSR programs of the Navy.
Based on previous year records, candidates who have passed Class 12 with Mathematics & Physics and another optional subject are eligible to apply for recruitment through the AA and SSR programs. An online examination is conducted based on the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science & General Knowledge for selection in the Artificer Apprentice & Senior Secondary Recruit programs. The question paper consist of MCQ type questions and there is negative marking in the exam.
Following the selection test, the subsequent selection stages consist of intensive physical fitness tests. The Navy specifies the particular physical efficiency test events in the official notification and candidates have to pass the physical rounds to qualify for recruitment. Based on previous year trends, the physical fitness/efficiency test events include 1.6 KM run, squat ups (uthak-baithaks), push-ups etc. In addition, candidates must also meet the minimum specified height, weight, chest expansion, eye-sight standards are laid down by the Indian Navy.
