Indian Navy published notification 2019 for matric recruit (MR) October 2020 batch last week. Whereas the online application form has been available since November 23, 2019, it will be closed tomorrow, November 28, 2019. Class 10th pass candidates born between October 1, 2000, and September 30, 2003, can apply against 400 vacancies of sailors at joinindiannavy.gov.in.
With today’s and tomorrow’s days left to apply, the official website is down. An error message “No snapshot found. check write permissions on tmp/ directory” is appearing on the page.
As per reports, this message started being displayed on the site around early morning hours today. Joindinainnavy.gov.in is the only official website of Indian Navy, for its recruitment notifications and online application form.
The source of the issue is unknown. However it is a technical problem and has to be solved by the website administrators. It is expected to be resolved in the coming hours.
Once the site is back online, candidates can resume their online application form filling process. The first step for all prospective jobseekers in Indian Navy is to create an account on the website and then through that, apply for available vacancies for which they are eligible.
Upon logging in with registered email id, one has to click the “current opportunities” button, and click the apply button against Indian Navy MR Oct 2020 option. Form should be filled completely, correctly, and required scanned documents should be uploaded as well. Then, fee has to be paid.
For the Indian Naby MR 2020, application fee is Rs 215, to be paid in online mode via netbanking, credit card, debit card, UPI. fee is exempt for SC, ST category candidates. To fill the form at common service centres (CSC), an additional fee of Rs 60 with GST shall apply.
Indian Navy will issue admit card through joinindiannavy.gov.in only, for the online exam scheduled in February 2020.
The syllabus of Indian Navy MR 2020 is such that from it, 50 questions of 1 mark each will be asked. Paper will be divided into two sections, science and mathematics, and general knowledge. Standard of paper, by extension the syllabus, will be of class 10th syllabus. Sample papers are available on the official website, joinindiannavy.gov.in, which can be downloaded once the site starts working again.
Exam will be of 30 minutes only. There will be penalty for incorrect answers, negative marking shall be 0.25.
Besides written test, Indian Navy will organize physical fitness test comprising of a 1.6 km run that candidates need to do in 7 minutes, 20 squats, 10 push ups. Following that will be medical standards test wherein height , visual standards, and as required other parameters will be checked.
Indian Navy MR recruitment 2020 is for joining Indian Navy as sailors, in three positions namely chef, steward, hygienist. In training, sailors shall get Rs 14,600 per month. After that, they come in level 3 of defence pay matrix and get Rs 21,700 – Rs 69,100, and in addition, MSP of Rs 5,200 per month, plus DA.
