Indian Army has released a short notification about 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme course 43 commencing from July 2020. The recruiting directorate will issue the online application form and detailed notification for TES 43 tomorrow, on October 15, 2019.
Class 12th pass or studying candidates aiming for a career in the Indian Army can apply online at joinindianarmy.nic.in from tomorrow until November 13, 2019.
Technical Entry Scheme is one of the only two ways to join Indian Army after class 12th. The other way is NDA exam conducted by UPSC. Candidates who have cleared 10+2 exams wit at least 70% in physics, chemistry, mathematics can apply for this entry. There will be an age limit also; candidates should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years as on cut off date.

When the notification is published, in detail, the number of vacancies will also be known. Last time there were 90 vacancies. After four years, candidates are given permanent commission in the army in the rank of lieutenant.
To apply, candidates will have to visit joinindianarmy.nic.in and go through process under officers entry. Indian Army, integrated HQ of MoD (Army) will shortlist candidates by fixing cut off percentage. After candidates are shortlisted, they will be intimated of selection centres, for which, IA will issue call letters.
After shortlisting, the selection process involves Services Selection Board (SSB) at selection centers in Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab). This process involves discussion with psychologist, group testing officer, interviewing officer. There will be a two stage procedure, and only those who go through stage I can go through the second one.
In the Indian Army, one who is at the rank of lieutenant, comes in level 10 of pay matric. This is eligible for Rs 56,100 – Rs 1,77,500. Rank progressions happen after lieutenant like this, and their salaries are: Captain in level 10B and pay 61,300-1,93,900, Major in level 11 and pay 69,400-2,07,200, Lieutenant Colonel in level 12A and pay 1,21,200-2,12,400. Then there are Colonel in level 13 and pay 1,30,600-2,15,900, Brigadier in level 13A and salary 1,39,600-2,17,600, Major General in level 14 and pay 1,44,200-2,18,200. After that comes Lieutenant General HAG Scale in level 15 and pay 1,82,200- 2,24,100, Lieutenant General HAG + Scale in level 16 and pay 2,05,400-2,24,400, VCOAS / Army Cdr / Lieutenant General (NFSG) in level 17 and pay 2,25,000/- (fixed). COAS is in level 18 and pay 2,50,000/-(fixed).
There are ten ways to join the Indian Army. After 10+2, the ways are through UPSC NDA, and 10+2 Tech. Graduates can join through IMA Non Tech, SSC Tech, SSC Non Tech, NCC special, UES, TGC, JAG. Post graduates can join through TGC education.
